I have a yellow DC07... if yours is yellow and your hose is broke this is what you need... the older style... not sure if it fits the newer style... but i'm sure that's a different number. Laying them down side by side, the only difference is the color or the "release" button on the side of the hose that is not yellow and big... the original one is yellow and the new one is grey... the same color as the hose... but should not be a big deal.... not sure why this gets so many bad reviews... its identical as the original minus that button, same rubber gaskets, side, hose, types of plastic.... really only that one button... works great... really... and if yours doesn't... leave it why as a reply to this message... seriously... I'm not going to nay say... I'm imagining that the sellers that sell the 50 dollar hose are playing games with bad reviews... ... show more

    • Spend extra and buy original from dyson
The hose isn't that great. The end keeps coming off when I try to extend the wand. The original one I had would lock on when ever the wand was extended. I have to know hold both ends when the wand is extended. Also the rubber around the house seems to have issues. When there is a bend in the hose, the suction practically stops. I would not buy this or recommend this to anyone. ... show more

This item is well worth the $15.00, rather than $40.00 thru Dyson. Dyson replaced my original hose for free. Their replacement was all grey (not a real Dyson hose), did not stretch as far as the original, and lasted less than 1 year. I figured for $15.00 this was worth a try. As stated in other reviews, it is tight fitting, especially the first time you install it. Once you've used it & stretched it out a few times,it gets easier to take off and put back on. its definitely not a dyson hose. you can tell its off brand\generic, but for the money who cares. it works and does what its supposed to do. it is very thin and cheap looking at the yellow base of the hose. but so far so good.

My original hose on the DC07 broke and I ordered this generic one. Works great, not difference to the original. Would order again. Great price as well!

Does not fit Dyson dc7 all floors- it slips off every time I use the attachment hose (and makes a horrible screeching noise). Spend the extra money and order from Dyson.

I have tried 2 generics and both will not stay attached at the bottom. Also the hose does not slide on and off as well have the original dyson.
