Used this on the tub drain as directed. Make sure that you follow directions using a wrench to turn the tool so it doesn't slip or break on you.

Worked well but was under the impression I wouldn't need to remove the screw under the drain cover. There's a small hole in the device that isn't quite long enough to be abel to access drain without first removing said screw. Would be nice if they made it and extra inch or two deeper to bypass this step. That said, using this tool is much faster than using a screw driver alone to pry loose. ... show more

Grooves are too shallow. I don't understand why. Also some drains are three instead of four pronged, so it really doesn't come close to working if this is the case. Just use the handle end of a wrench and a vise clamp. Bought this peice of junk and ended up using tools I already had instead and they worked way better. ... show more

the big end that is supposed to fit an inch and a half drain is to big. had to use the small end with two half inch wood chisels wedging the tool in the drain to get my drain removed don't buy this tool unless you have a metal lathe to make it fit the drain size mentioned

This tool has only one purpose, to remove and install tub drains. Unfortunately it couldn’t even do that right. The teeth that grip the drain crossbar broke off during the first use, rendering this tool completely useless. Now I have to go buy another tool to finish the job this one failed at!
