I was surprised when I saw this watch online. This “New Men Sports Watch with Quartz Silicone Band Date Display Waterproof Analog Wrist Watches for Mens” seems a nice looking watch. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the price - just $6.98, maybe a mistake? Still, I decided to order and wanted to check it out. How can you go wrong with a less-than-seven-dollar watch? It was a mistake. This watch does not work. The minute hand kept moving when your hands moved - sometimes half-revolution, sometimes quarter-revolution. There seems a manufacturing defect where the minute hand is not properly secured or screwed to the face. The small instruction manual that comes with it also has it wrong on how to set the date. It says there are two clicking positions. There is only one-clicking position and it is tough to change the date since you have to keep rotating the watch and keep doing that until the date falls to the date you wanted. Overall, this is a useless watch, even for a toy, since the minute hand is not rotating properly. Stay away from this watch brand. ----- UPDATE 2024-April-24 The defective watch has been replaced. The replacement watch works flawlessly as expected. The date and time can be changed easily. The hour, minute, and second hands work in unison and the movements are in synch. The time after a day is still correct with just a second deviation. Overall, am happy with this beautiful yet very inexpensive watch. Great buying experience! Good stuff! What I like: The product is fairly masculine in design, but is not overly large or heavy. So far, the product is keeping perfect time. I'm still not understanding how the date-keeping function works and how it's going to "know" the number of days in the current month. The hands are easy-to-read against the white face. I set this watch six days ago and it has lost 11 seconds. The date functions well and is updated daily. I picked up the green version and I like the design and color. The face looks nice and stylish. I also like the soft silicone watch band. The watch fits my 7” wrist well. This men sports watch by GEDIYAR is oversized just enough to not look gaudy, yet be fashionable. I have an over average wrist size, and this watch band has plenty of room to spare. I’ve tested this watch with my iPhone clock, and it keeps time and the date as it should. My only dislike, is the very bright gold color.
