This tank is such an easy wardrobe staple. It’s super comfortable and has a nice amount of stretch, but the fabric still feels substantial and holds its shape well. It’s not one of those thin tanks that gets loose and sloppy after wearing it for a few hours. I got mine in a bright cheerful pink for summer and I’m really loving the color. It feels fun and fresh without being too loud. I’ve been wearing it around the house for lounging, but it also looks really cute thrown on with a pair of jeans for errands or casual outings. Overall, this is one of those effortless pieces that’s comfy, flattering, and easy to style. Simple, versatile, and a great basic to have in rotation.

Good quality tank but the larger sizing is just scaled up

This tank top is thick and not see-through, which is the first thing I look for in a basic like this, and it feels well made overall, which is about what I'd expect from Gap brand clothes. The construction is solid and there's nothing flimsy about it, so on quality alone it's a good piece. The biggest issue is the sizing. I got the XXL, and it's pretty clear they just sized up the whole shirt proportionally instead of actually adjusting the dimensions for a larger body, because the arm holes are way too big. This is a common problem with plus sizing, where the pattern gets scaled up uniformly rather than reworked, and the result is that some parts end up oversized in ways that don't match how bodies actually change with size. The arm holes are wayyy too big and show my bra because of this. That said, if you're sizing into the smaller end of the range where the proportions probably still hold up, the quality here is genuinely good. It's really just the larger sizing that lets it down, and it's a shame, because everything else about the shirt is what I'd want from a basic tank.

This everyday essential shirt offers a clean, timeless look that pairs effortlessly with jeans, shorts, slacks, or joggers. I have broad shoulders so I like this cut as well as the thicker straps. The classic crewneck is made from a blend of materials including cotton, polyester, and elastane spandex. I typically only look for cotton clothing but when I need something with a little more flex, I’ll grab for it too. It has a great weight that feels durable yet soft. Tops like these are necessary for a simple, minimalist wardrobe and it’s GAP. You can never go wrong with this brand and their quality.

Closet staple for summer.

Totally happy with this tank. It’s an essential for summer, and I can always use another. I got the off white color, and it’s true to the product photo. I’m 5’7”, 120 lbs, and ordered the small. It’s perfect, with a little room. I most love the fabric content and feel. Good weight. Not cheap. Will hold up well in the wash. Good for layering. Price is right.

True to size, mostly

I'm an xs and 5' and this fit me pretty well and was obviously long on me. However, what was strange is the entire tank above the stomach is fitted, then it becomes really loose very suddenly around the stomach area, which is kind of odd. I don't think this was missewn or anything, it seemed kind of intentional to me. I typically buy clothing that's fitted to have it be, you know, fitted throughout, and the suddenness of the way it becomes loose just feels very strange on. If this is something that appeals to you, I guess this top is a good choice. Otherwise, the material is sort of thin, but it's soft enough and has washed well so far.

The tank top fits true to size. I feel like it looks really cute. It can be worn by itself or layered under another piece of clothing. The tank is made of 59% Cotton, 38% Polyester, 3% Elastane Spandex. It is soft and comfortable to wear. It stays in place well without riding or bunching up. The tank can be machine washed. I prefer to hang it to dry but you can dry it on low heat. I think it's a good quality. All the seams are sewn well. The hem is straight. This is a timeless piece that can be used for several years without going out of style. I feel like it's a good value sue to the quality and versatility of the tank top.
