Great pants for the price - I use them for work since all my pants get stained and ruined before the seams start to bust anyways. Not the most durable but fantastic value and fit perfect, come in 30in inseam for us short people.

Gap direct store vs "Amazon" gap - straight fit khakis

I ordered a pair of straight fit khakis from the gap store online that were more expensive - the waist fit but they ran weirdly long. I then ordered a pair of the straight fit "essentials" from Amazon in a shorter length, the length was right but the waist was too wide and the seat too roomy... which was different than the direct store version (the direct store version had a better cut). Outside of that, the material is great and very much the same as the direct gap store version (albeit with some "cheap" shortcuts like un-lined seams and no double wrapped waist band). If you normally wear a 32 length you probably only need a 30 length in these. Both of the pairs I have are still wearable but neither had the cut I was after.

I smiled as I pulled on these pants because they were a good fit my 6'-1", 170 pound frame. The material was a bit thicker and the pockets a bit deeper than the Amazon basic pants I bought at the same time. The belt loops are big enough for a 1 1/4 inch belt. Fit and finish is good.
