As a mom of a 10-year-old boy, I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans for my son, and I finally found them with the GAP Boys' Pull-on Slim Fit Jeans in X-Large, Dark Wash. I have tried so many different pants for my son, but these jeans were an absolute perfect fit. One of the things that impressed me the most was the accuracy of the sizing chart. I’ll start this review off by saying that I originally thought that I had received a defective pair of jeans at first because of the noticeable seams in the denim in the knee area but after looking at the pictures online, it shows there too (I took a pic showing it). I personally don’t care for that but that is the only complaint that I have because these are great quality jeans that feel soft and not stiff. They wash well without shrinkage. The length is good, maybe a bit too long but that’s okay. For size reference, my son is wearing the large (size 10). The waist has an elastic waistband with a functional drawstring (no inner adjustable waistband). These jeans have traditional 5 pocket styling. My son only wears the pull on jeans (he’s picky) and this is a brand that I’d purchase again. He says that they’re comfortable to wear. ... show more

Glad to find jeans with an elastic waist. My son isn't real thin but he is bothered by traditional snap or button pants. The elastic pants seem to stay on him better. We got a size large (9-10 years old), right at his age. The length seemed a little long but the waist was good. I would rather the jeans not be slim fit as the legs are then tapered also. He's more of a boot cut kid but the jeans are as described. Nice coloring. Glad for the pockets. Will be a great pair of jeans for him. ... show more

These pants have a permanent horrible smell! I washed them 5 times and they still smell!
