We keep our saddles in a shed, so they’re already protected from the weather. I got this cover to protect our saddle from barn cats, who keep getting in our shed and like to scratch & urinate on things. 😡 This has done a fine job of protecting the saddle from that, and mostly from dust. I was really hopeful that this would really cover the saddle- all the way around. This is just a cover that sits on it. Nothing fancy - will protect a little from dust/water but wont keep it clean or keep mice from going inside it - if anything this will attract mice so will need to watch my saddle to make sure nothing is going under it and keeping warm. Nothing fancy but does fit all of my saddles which range greatly in size so that's nice but was hoping for something... better. ... show more

This saddle cover is fine if you’re just looking for something that sits on top of your saddle; it’s not particularly form fitting and just has a few elastic straps to keep it in place. The one advantage of this is that it could fit a wide variety of saddles, but it’s especially protective.

Most of the covers I have seen cover the saddle seat and top very well but this one covers the entire saddle, it covers the chaps and even the stirrups... I completely recommend this saddle cover!
