  • Great shoes at a great price
I just used these snowshoes for the first time after owning them for 14 months. They were great in every way! Strong fitting hardware, good traction bottom rails, sturdy toe crampons. It was about an hour walk over flat terrain, but I'm confident the snowshoes will handle anything I can handle.

  • Worked great in -43F wind chill, mixed-snow conditions
My first snowshoe purchase. I had a low budget and bought these for winter mountaineering in New England. They got me through a 5-6 hour, -43F wind chill early-March day up Mt Lafeyette, which was a mix of deep, soft snow in the forest and rime ice up top. The traction from the crampons was sufficient on moderate 15-20 deg slopes, aided by the easy-to-flip heel lifts. The trekking poles that come along with the purchase are a nice bonus. The bag that comes with the purchase is convenient; it even has sufficient additional space to fit my snow gaiters. The only downside / minor inconvenience for me is that the binding design allowed my hiking boots to slide a little forward -- no matter how tightly I tried to strap them in -- when going downhill for extended periods of time. That said, features like crampon coverage, cold-weather performance, and heel lift mattered much more to me in my purchase decision, so I am happy with the product overall and would recommend it at its price point. ... show more

  • Great snowshoe set up! Lightweight but with great floatation in deep pow.
Great sport snowshoe! VERY similar to MSR’s snowshoes, right down to the binding. Stainless claws are a little thinner than MSR’s, but unless you’re doing mixed snow/ice/rock shoeing, you’ll be fine. If you’re carrying a heavy backpack or pulling a sled, go up a size in length.

  • They did the job
Worked great well made

  • Budget mountain snowshoe
Look no farther for a budget mountain snowshoe. Cant say how long they’ll last, but they seem pretty well made, You'd they have all the features you’d look for in a mountain snowshoe. You'd have a tough time finding a set of poles alone for the price, let alone poles and snowshoes. And the poles seem like great quality too. Will try them out this weekend and see how they hold up. Don’t think they will offer the best floatation based on the design, but for certain conditions, seems like they’ll work great. ... show more

  • Great value snowshoes for ice and fresh pow
Color: Grey Size: 30 inch
So far, I’ve loved these snowshoes! They don’t damage snow trails much, and they have great grip and stability in fresh/deep as well as icy snow! I like that the straps are simple rubber, they are easy to tighten, and don’t have a complicated mechanism that could break while you’re out on the trail. I do have some Z-style poles already which I prefer, but the ones that came, are decent backups! Overall, these are a great value, I definitely recommend these! ... show more

  • "Mixed Bag: Affordable Yet Flawed Snowshoe - A Detailed Review"
Color: Blue Size: 30 inch
I purchased this snowshoe at a reasonable price, but my overall experience has been less than satisfactory. Firstly, the weight is noticeable, as it's constructed from plastic, contrasting with my previous MSR Lightning, resulting in leg fatigue during use. Secondly, the grip is a significant concern. The teeth are positioned only vertically on the sides and underfoot, lacking horizontal traction. This led to slipping during ascents and two falls on descents due to inadequate grip. The strapping system exacerbates the issues, particularly during descents. While ascending, the two straps in the front and one behind the heel seemed acceptable. However, on the descent, my legs slid through the front straps, causing pain on the sides of my legs and feet. Despite tightening, the straps failed to secure adequately. While I appreciate the budget-friendly aspect, these drawbacks overshadow the cost advantage. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this snowshoe for serious winter activities. I would rate it two stars for the attractive price point but caution against its use for backcountry hiking or mountain descents. ... show more

  • Really impressed with these snowshoes!
I used the snowshoes for the first time at the Mount Rainer National Park. They were versatile and worked really well. A bit hard to strap on at first but once you get the hang of it, you can do it faster. That heel support helped quite a bit climbing up. I believe they perform as well as the similar more expensive snowshoes. I don’t know yet in the long run how the plastic will perform, but for now I am super happy with these. If you do not want to spend a lot and still want good snowshoes with heel support, these are the ones for you. ... show more
