I weigh 165 pounds and carry roughly 20 pounds of gear, and my 25s have performed flawlessly on packed snow and in deeper powder. The heel risers were a noticeable help on inclines, and I felt pretty sure-footed on descents. These snowshoes are ridiculously fast and easy to put on, take off, and adjust on the fly. I’ve had no issues at all with ice or snow clumping. The attached picture of one shoe upright and the other turned over was taken immediately after a 2 mile trek - no accumulation of any kind! This is a budget show shoe with quality construction all the way around. The carry bag is also higher quality than I would expect at this price point. I can’t think of anything I don’t like and definitely recommend this brand to others looking for a quality snowshoe without breaking the bank. ... show more

These snowshoes are lightweight and comfortable. Straps that go over the top of the foot were easy to tighten and loosen. The strap that goes around the heel which you have to pull to tighten were more difficult. But I am 65 and not quite as flexible as I used to be. But I have no issues with the snowshoes not staying on or with straps not staying tight. I would highly recommend these snowshoes. ... show more

Looks pretty. But the image says it weight 3.3lb for 21inch, but it actually weight 4.3lb. Apparently most snowshoes weight 4~5lb anyway. so I would not return.

These work well for just trudging about in snow with no extra gear. Like around your yard, on a snowy trail for no more than a few feet, taking the trash out to the cans, or clearing snow of your vehicle. But if you want to throw a pack on and hike through actual snow drifts more than a few inches deep, then you're in trouble. The snowshoes will sink with any added weight when going over uneven terrain, perhaps that is because the only grip surface is the crampons that clip to the balls of your feet....haven't figure it out yet. The shoes will slide forward or backwards into the snow when on uneven terrain, however they work pretty well on basically flat surfaces. You love to ski board? Well these are great if you want to walk down iced over or packed down snow trails, because they love to slip! Unless you march like an Imperial Stormtrooper and drive your foot down hard so the crampons bite....otherwise there's a great chance you're going for a sledding trip. Deep snow will get into the ratchet mechanism for the toe straps....and once that happens you are basically walking like a duck wearing doo-doo filled pants because THEY'LL NEVER TIGHTEN DOWN AGAIN. That's right....your snowshoe will loosen up and you're trying to hike around in clown shoes with a little bit of grip! Loose, tighten, walk a few steps then loose, tighten, and walk a few steps....rinse and repeat for however many feet you last until you take them off. I know the design differences between the different styles of snow shoes, with some having more surface area, grip, etc, I just expected better for what we paid. However I didn't expect such a vast difference between these and a pair of MSR Lightning Ascents I rented a week prior. Can't return them but maybe they'll work for my wife or kids, just so long as the snow isn't too deep. ... show more

    • Don't forget to get the correct size for your weight + gear.
I accidentally purchased the 25" shoes, as I weigh slightly less than 200lbs, but I forgot to factor in the weight of my pack at 30+lbs. I should have purchased the 30" shoes. I like them. They work fine, I'm not a serious snow-hiker, but if they break I know why and I'll get the 30" next time.

I love how easy it is to clamp myself in and out of these snowshoes. I feel secure when walking in them even when the terrain has it's inconsistencies and variances to it. It's a great snowshoe for some incline and flat. Have yet to test them on more difficult outings so I can't address that here. I'm very pleased with my purchase! ... show more
