As other reviews have noted, the bed runs small. I ordered a Large for our 30 pound terrier mix; the bed works for him since he usually sleeps curled up. The major problem with the bed is that the faux lambs wool comes off when our dog paws at it in his nesting behavior (circling around and around in the bed while pawing its surface). We've had the bed less than a week and already a significant portion of the faux lambs wool has ended up on the floor around the bed. Messy, and a sign that this bed won't last very long. Another problem with the bed is that the "egg crate orthopedic base" is rather thin, maybe no more than one-half inch. 12/1/18 updated review. I have downgraded my original 2 star review to 1 star. Washed the bed for the first (and only) time today. Large chunks of faux lambs wool fell off in the washing machine, and the so-called orthopedic base (which is not removable) is a heap of lumps. The bed is now useless. Find yourself a different bed; this one is very poorly made!

I am very pleased with the quality of this bed for my little puppy. I saw a review saying it was smaller than expected; by my pic you might think I bought the wrong size. But "Small" is sometimes very big when your pup weighs just 2 lbs. I feared it was too big initially as she didn't take to it immediately. So I put another pillow in it to reduce her space and she snuggled in & apparently fell in love with it. It is very plushy & my Coco feels very safe curled up against the wall. The pillow is removable, as is the entire cover. My only disappointment was the pink color. I expected it to be a more muted pink in the picture, not the bright, almost neon color. I have ordered another in the grey and will move the bright pink one to the bedroom.

It was a long search to find the right bed. Finally, success. My Maltese loved it immediately. Although he is small (9 lbs) I bought the medium to give him some stretching room. I have not washed it yet. I place a soft cover over it and cover the cushion with a pillowcase. Very happy with it. Note: not the same color as shown. I have attached a photo.

I wanted to get a larger cat bed, because both of my boys are big cats, each about 15 lbs. Christian, my long haired tabby, adores this and sleeps in it daily. It's hard-wearing and both the outer cover and the fleece pillow can be washed, which is very useful. I keep the fleece side out, because he likes to sleep warm and didn't seem to care for the feel of the cotton side. Note, however, that the washer is not going to get their hair out of the fabric; I pull as much as I can out with my hands, and finish off with a lint roller before I toss it in the wash. I wash it every few weeks. So far, it is like new with the exception of the inevitable cat hair, and I expect it will last quite some time. I would recommend this to any pet owner looking for a pet bed. I think the best selling point is that, unlike cat/dog beds you'll find at a box store, the sides of this bed are very stiff, with a stiff foam liner. I find that my two boys prefer a bed where the sides are solid, so they feel protected. They simply won't sleep in a bed with soft sides, so if this is a concern for your pet, know that this will retain its shape. If this one ever needs replacing, I will purchase another one. This is the best bed I've found in all my years of being owned by cats.

I bought this for my large 19lb cat. He's super picky and I often go through several beds before finding one he likes. But he loved this immediately! The sides are high enough to contain him but not so high he can't watch the birds (the bed sits on his window perch). I like that the pad is removable for cleaning. And also reversible with cotton fabric on one side and plush on the other (which will be warmer in winter). Louie has been camped out in his new bed since the day it arrived.

I bought this bed for my 38 lb English bulldog. The color and shape is accurate, although I purchased it taking into consideration the measurements of her previous bed and this one turned out quite larger than expected, which is not necessarily a bad thing, just to be clear. During a two month period I had to wash it around 4-5 times. Both pieces dry relatively quickly, the surrounding piece that accommodates the foam arch is a little hard to zip back appropriately because of the height difference in the front compared to the rest of it. The actual pillow were she rests ended up pretty flat or with the filling distributed non evenly because the suturing would break when it was machine washed and I had to fill it back and sow it together. Considering I have a medium to large dog and the price I bought it for I think the bed has survived decently enough. My recommendation would be that if you plan on machine washing, have a small sowing kit (or just a needle and thread), and if its need some extra plush filling.

I was a little hesitant when purchasing due to the lower price. Many a dog bed are much more expensive. I am pleasantly surprised by this product. It came in just a few days. After I opened it up and showed it to my dog he jumped right in it and slept for 2 hours. I bought the large for my mini schnauzer because he likes to stretch out and it is a perfect fit. When he curls up he takes up about 1/2 of it. I am very happy I bought this for my boy and he sleeps in it every night.

My dog has beds in almost every room but we recently re-decorated a room and he needed a new bed. My old standby bed went up to $70 in price so I ordered this instead but it is not even as nice. It has foam in the bottom but if you push down with your hand you will feel the hard floor underneath the padding so it is not sufficient. It has a zipper so in theory you can remove the cover and wash it. The pad is inside and there is no separate bed cushion inside like the Petco version of this ultra suede bed. The bottom of this bed has a black mesh like fabric that I doubt will hold up to many washings and it causes it to slide around a lot more on a hardwood floor. I went cheap and regret it. I added a nice plush blanket inside to add more padding for our 9lb dog but I would not recommend this bed. I can't see how it is orthopedic at all when the padding is not a great quality nor provide enough support or cushion but you get what you pay for.
