It's made of an itchy, stiff polyester. But it looks good, and it got the job done. I got a lot of compliments as the Ringleader for a PTA carnival I was volunteering for. I got the medium, and I usually wear a size 8. It fit pretty well. Costumes usually run small so I bought a large - it was too big. So I then got a medium and it fit perfect (I wear an 8). I was surprised that it was much better quality than expected. I sewed appliques and fringe on the shoulders to look like epaulettes. I recommend the jacket.

I'm usually a medium. I went up one size to a large and fits snug which I expected based on reviews. What I didn't expect was how poor the quality was and how poorly they put it together. it's really thin like it can break at any moment, you can put your hand and see through the material, there are strings hanging and who eve made this didn't even to it correctly you can't button it because they placed the buttons on the wrong side! So if you button it you don't have the black collar. Only had the coat for $30 I expected at least something that didn't look like you got it at the $1 store. The red jacket started and finished my look. I was the lion tamer. I am 5’10” tall and size 14 plus. I ordered the XL as I don’t like tops tight. It fit great except I have long arms and was a bit short. I added some fishnet fingerless gloves to cover the slight gap The material is thin and needed to be ironed. No problem using an iron on it.
