Unfortunately this wallet was damaged by water. And it did not rain on that day at my house, plus items are placed on a table that of an entry alcove with a roof. It appeared that it must have fallen into water and stayed there awhile. The Amazon envelop was wet, the plastic bag it came in and the soft pouch it was in were wet. Hence there were water spots on this envelope. It was returned and I ordered another one. I recommend this wallet very highly when not damaged. ... show more

I don’t know why this is labeled as the Melissa phone wallet when this is the Melissa Foldover wallet. It is more spacious than I initially anticipated and the leather is beautiful and soft. I am always torn between brown and black purses/wallets and the slate color is a perfect medium. As with any Frye product, the leather smell is always delightfully intoxicating. However, I am a bit disappointed that the back of the wallet did not come with the leather “Frye” stamped tag near the bottom; however, I think that is something I am willing to ignore because I like it so much. I also saw this exact wallet in department stores, like Dillard’s and Nordstrom, and they did not have the “Frye” logo on the back so don’t let that deter you off alone. I did buy it when it was shipped and sold by Amazon and they are an authorized retailer and the products are also covered under the Frye warranty! I emailed Frye to verify this. I plan on treating it with the Frye weatherproof dressing to protect against the elements, maybe this will also cover and protect against the scraping and nicks that it easily picks up. Frye recently came out with their own leather lotion and they recommend it for their wallets and handbags. I, again, emailed Frye to verify this.
