Just delivered; I ordered the 4 XL size; the two size charts posted a bit differently; one said 4 XL = 52"-54" waist, while the other says the 4 XL = 54"-56" waist. Anyway, I got lucky because the 4 XL was super comfortable on me; Fruit of the Loom designed their waistband to be relaxed and non-binding, yet these briefs hold up in place on my waist,,,,,,,,other major brands have uncomfortable waistbands which I returned. Though in other brands a 3XL may have worked for you, you best go up one size to the 4XL; so in general, order 1 size up,,,,,,,,for really big guys, a 5X or bigger may be available on amazon,,,,not sure,,,,,btw, these big man's briefs are FULL CUT briefs, so there is plenty of room in all parts of these briefs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I recommend you purchase these,,,,,,,,,they come packaged and sealed, 6 to a pack,,,,,,

Have worn 2xl for past 10 plus years. Was hoping to get a little more room in the crotch, and go up a size in the waist. Problem was the 3xl were more like going up two sizes at least. Too big to wear and had to order more 2xl and since it was underwear I figured I couldn’t return them so I’m just going to lose money.

I purchased a 9-pack of Fruit of the Loom Men's Tag-free Cotton Briefs and a 7-pack of Hanes Ultimate Men's Tagless With Comfortflex Waistband, both were size medium. I weighed them using a food scale. Fruit of the Loom weighed 2.13 oz each, while Hanes weighed 2.07 oz each. Fruit of the Loom was slightly smaller, so thickness-wise they were both very close, but Fruit of the Loom was slightly thicker. Fruit of the Loom cost $2.35 each, while Hanes cost $2.43 each.

It's hard to find affordable clothes for big dudes. There are some other clothes I've purchased made by Fruit of the Loom that I've not been so pleased with. But these underwear are quite nice - soft and comfortable. They wear well, wash well, come in nice colors made with good quality material. All good! I would buy them again....in fact.... I HAVE!

These are sized well and are very comfortable to wear. Tagless is nice in preventing irritation or itching. WARNING! - Pre-wash BEFORE wearing!!! I know I probably don't have to say that BUT... Normally I pre-wash any clothing before wearing it. I live in an apartment building and the laundry room was out of order so I had to throw a pair of these in after a shower when heading out for an appointment. When I got home and went to change I noticed that my legs and scrotal area were dark blue. I was sweating some while out and I guess that caused the color to run and stain my body. I washed the rest of the pairs out by hand to check and ALL of the colors ran like this, even the light ones. I realize this is not uncommon but just thought I'd mention it The reason I deducted a star is because I did not get the colors I ordered. I ordered a set that had 2 pair of 3 colors each. I received a set with 6 different colors, 2 of which I'm not fond. Aside from those small things I really like these. They are well made, sized right and very comfortable. Just pre-wash them before wearing and be aware that you may or may not receive the color package you chose.

Maybe it's my imagination, but seems these are a bit larger than same kind/size bought a few years back. Still they are comfortable, fit well and deserve the 5 stars - Good quality for a reasonable price.
