I would suggest to size up. The quality is good but length wise they run short. My daughter is 4’10 and 72lbs for reference and I ordered a size 12. The pants fit her well enough to not look cropped decent length but not sure if they will shrink after washing.

Best fitting uniform pants for a pre-teen. These pants don’t fade after washing and have a great fit. Good quality material. My daughter is growing so fast so I’m always in need of bigger sizes. If your child is tall definitely get these the length is perfect.

Now I bought a couple pairs, use a size guide if possible. What I will say, these are comfortable-well made-very fitting and good waist location (little lower than true waist). Real pockets...NICE! Excellent cost for quality. Make sure you are aware of your brand size-each brand size varies. Also, backside area (you know) is for a more well developed body shape-and this stretch factor helps. If you are really thin, not too shapely in that area-you want to understand your waist to hip and backsize dimensions to fit these well. You may require petite w/minimum waist or x-small waist to fit hips and backside well. Good luck and amazon will take them back and send a better fit if you need it. Great pants.
