Normally in French toast pants our child wears a 6 (age 6, 42 lbs and 45.5”) so naturally I ordered a 6- note the size guide says this should be a perfect fit. They were about 2” too short but the waist fit well. Returned and ordered a size 7 since a 6x is not available here. These pants are too big around the waist (I think the adjustable waistband will fix this) and now the legs are too long. Other than that the pants seem to be well made and came in a timely manner. I would just recommend erroring on the side of caution when ordering your size I’m not sure what’s different about these pants sizing method than the ones I usually order but it’s definitely different. ... show more

I bought size 5 for my 6 year old since she is petite and really skinny, I loved the fit, but my daughter says the adjustable button inside the elastic band digs into her skin and will not wear it. Otherwise I would have kept it.

The quality of the pants is excellent. It has an adjustment waist which is particularly big for a 5T. The pants are not that skinny. 6 inches at the thigh and 4 at the ankle. My daughter is 5 and she uses 5T which normally runs big on her as she ks a skinny girl. She stands 43 inches tall and 22 inch hips. These pants were high waters on her. The lenght of these pants from the crotch to the ankle are 17 inches. So measure your child. If they are short or not particularly tall these may fit ok but on my LO they looked hideous. I will only be returning one pair because she removed the labels and stickers of the other ones. Augh... ... show more
