We live in a fairly warm environment where shorts are perfect for most school months & I prefer her wear these than other school approved skirts or jumpers, as she is a kindergartner who has not yet learned that showing her classmates her "undies of the day" is inappropriate. I bought a girls size 7 for my 7 year old who normally wears size 7 bottoms. She is on the taller end. These barely fit her. The inseam was a bit too short making her unable to pull them up over her hips very well. So although the waist would have fit, the inseam stopped her being able to wear them. Other than that, the navy color is perfect for her school uniform and the quality feels good, especially for the price. I wanted to try a size 8, but they are out of stock as of now. I bought pants in the French toast brand, size 7 and they fit great. I’ll be ordering another French Toast brand style of shorts to see how they fit. ... show more

The size of the short (4T) was true to measurements on the sizing chart. However, the back of the short barely covered my toddlers buttocks. When trying them on, she bent over and I could see a full 2 inches of her pull up. The shorts rode up high in the front and low in the back. She is average size, sturdy build. These shorts may fit girls with a slender build, but they did not fit my toddler who usually wears a 3T. I ordered one size up to allow for growth. The material is nice, soft and stretchy and they looked good on from the front. Unfortunately, I am going to have to return them because they fit so low in the back. ... show more
