I just needed a mitt to play catch with my daughter for softball. Couldn’t seem to find my old one. Sure I’ll come across it buried in the garage eventually. But this one works fine. Had to loosen the hand strap a bit. I’m a big guy 6’1” 260. This fit my big hands enough. Needs a little breaking in as with any new mitt. For this price it’s worth it. ... show more

For as cheap as it is it doesn’t feel cheap. It feels like a genuine glove and did not require a break in at all. I opened it and immediately started testing it to see how it would hold up. It feels like a solid glove and while using it I feel comfortable it will last for several years under consistent use. When I need a new glove I will get another of these. I bought this Franklin Sports Fieldmaster glove for myself and my son, and while it works okay for casual play, I was expecting better quality for the price. The glove is comfortable and breaks in fairly easily, and it does the job for light baseball or softball games. However, the leather feels a bit thin and not as durable as I had hoped. After a few uses, it started to show some wear, and the stitching doesn’t feel as strong as higher-end gloves. For practice and recreational play, it’s acceptable, but I wouldn’t recommend it for frequent or competitive use. Overall, a decent glove for casual players, but if you’re looking for long-lasting quality, you might want to consider a higher-end model. ... show more

So I want to start by saying this is the first glove I've tried in a lot of years so I have nothing to compare it to. I got it because my 9 year old is a fastpitch pitcher and needs someone to catch for her during practice or warmups. It does the job.
