    • Shaft is ~18"; measure your heel to knee to know if these will be too tall for you
I'm 5'4", but more importantly, my heel to knee length is about 15.5". These boots extended all the way to the top of my kneecap and I was not trying to wear over-the-knee boots. There were so comfortable when I tried them on and the leather is soft enough that they did not impair my bend at the knee (they are lower in the back than the front). Unfortunately, and with disappointment, I had to return them despite the excellent feel and fit in the calf and foot. I do have a relatively wide foot (based on charts, I am a wide medium or a narrow wide - right between medium and wide in most shoe charts, so this can go either way) and in contrast to others, I didn't find these uncomfortably narrow. The leather is soft, so I would expect them to mold some so I wouldn't have been upset if they were slightly tight. Other reviews have said they didn't mold, though. Nonetheless, they were extremely comfortable for a 10 minute try-on around the house and I was disappointed to have to return them. That height, though... short (5'4" ahem) people can have long tibias, so I'm not saying it won't fit you if you're not 5'8, but do measure your heel to where you'd like a boot to terminate in height. My only grievance with this is that when I searched for the shaft height online, it was listed as 15.5 inches, which would have been perfect. And the boots I received were much taller than that.
