I have been searching for a pair of genuine leather, knee high, zippered, low heel black boots forever! I saw these and just ordered, hoping for the best. They didn’t disappoint! I have a pair of brown KRBonnel boots that I love but can’t find them anywhere. These boots are a close second. The biggest difference is the snugness at the calf…these are a tad looser. Still very nice looking. The first time that I wore them was at a casino…..and I was in them til 4:00 in the morning! Put them back on, went downstairs and was back at it by 10am. It took FOREVER to get these boots. When I ordered them in Januaray, they were supposed to arrive in early February. They finally arrived in mid-March. I liked the style so I allowed them to continue through to delivery but I was annoyed.

This is a very nice boot. Nice smooth leather. A little tight across the top of the foot but I not worried about that since they are leather and will stretch a little as I break them in. they are also a little hard to zip since the zipper is located on the back instead of the side. I got the wide calf, but now kind of regret not getting the regular because they are WIDE!!! I checked the stats first, but it was so borderline for me. ... show more

    • Zipper broke after wearing the boots only a couple of times.

Ordered the boots December 10th and the delivery date kept getting pushed back. They arrived January 18th. Love the boots. The leather is good quality, however I have only worn the boots a handful of times. The zipper on the left boot broke after the 2nd time worn, I took it to be fixed - one of the teeth got misaligned. It was an easy fix. I am now wearing them for the 2nd time after the zipper was realigned and the zipper will not stay closed at the ankle area. It will zip up, but as soon as you start walking the zipper opens and creates a gap at the ankle area. And of course, the retuen date has just passed. Very disappointing. ... show more

I love these boots, they're a great value - thick soft leather, heavy duty metal zippers, definitely made to last. The calf is a little wider than I expected but it doesn't gape and the look is like real riding boots so they're meant to fit over thin pants and have a little room to move the ankle. Since it's real sturdy leather, it would be impossible to move if they were more snug. I wore these on a business trip where I had to walk and stand all day and they looked smart were comfortable right out of the box. They're lovely and look great with a dress or jeans/leggings. A classic style, take care of them and they'll last for decades ... show more

These boots are very nice quality but ordered wide and they did not fit like they were wide. I also have thin legs so even the regular size boot was much to wide for my leg, I could put my whole hand, with it partially balled up, in the boot after zipping it. I was also very surprised at how tall they were. The front hit in the center of my knee and the back were in the fold of my knee which would have been very annoying to me. So, if you have thicker calves and more narrow feet and maybe longer legs you will love these. If not, well…I’ll have to keep looking! ... show more

It's exactly what I wanted; It's a classic English equestrian styled looking riding boot. It's a soft leather, low heel, and comes in 1/2 sizes and in wide. This is a boot that will always be in style because it's a classic.
