I had a very difficult time with this desk. The first one snapped on two of the pieces, I swear I did not overly tighten the screws, I was mindful of not tightening the screws too much (picture included of how it broke). I contacted the seller for replacement parts and they were quick and responsive, and sent me a whole new desk very quickly so kudos to them for that. When I put the second desk together the same thing happened, one of the parts broke in exactly the same way. But I was able to Frankenstein it together with parts from the first desk so I didn't totally lose my mind. The bags with the screws were mislabeled both times, so also be prepared for that and look at the parts list carefully so you don't use the wrong ones. I wish they had labeled the bars and side pieces with stickers or something because it took me a while to figure out which one was which and what side goes where (they are not interchangeable). The pictures on the directions are super tiny so it took a lot of squinting and bringing the paper right up to my face before I got it lol. The leg room is great, it's tall enough that I can comfortably work. I'm work from home 40 hours a week so that was important to me. Once I had it all built the second time around it is pretty sturdy, it's a good little desk for a small space at a fair price. I've included a picture of it all set up in my space. Just be very, very careful putting it together. I'm a single gal living alone so had to put it together on my own I did not want to put anyone out asking for help putting together what looks like a simple desk. The directions do recommend using 2 people which is good advice. Might have been easier for me if I had had some help. So if you've got a friend, significant other, or a helpful roommate with some time to spare I would definitely ask for a hand. Also, this was shipped to me via USPS, so it will not be delivered to your door or anything if you live at an apartment, maybe they do if you live in a house? I had to go get it at the post office both times. Which was fine I guess but kinda inconvenient since I just have a little car, not a lot of room to fit something like that in it. I would give this product 5 stars if the parts hadn't broken both times. I'll give it 4, the end result is great if you have good luck putting it together, the seller has good support and customer service, and the desk itself has good leg room and desk space. ... show more

Once together, this is a fine desk. Be cautious about assembly. Most of the pieces are in pairs, which look similar, but which are mirrors of each other.

Very sturdy desk, I have been using it for a 2 years now. I needed a new desk during the pandemic. Pros: sturdy easy to build plenty of space not heavy so easy to move around if needed cons: surface material leaves fingerprint marks easily The only con i had using this desk is that it leaves marks like water marks and fingerprint marks easily. HOWEVER, the marks are not permanent, if you wipe the desk down with a wet wipe its good as new. I also thinks it is a bit more obvious cause I bought the black desk, it would not be as obvious on a white or lighter colored desk. ... show more

I bought this table to work as a desk in my closet-turned office at work. I needed something that would work in a small space and it does that well while still have plenty of room for my computer, keyboard and workspace. I am considering buying another for a desk at home. I took a star away because the surface isn't totally smooth. There are small imperfections in the grain of the wood/laminate that you can feel when you swipe your hand across the surface. I have an extra large mousepad that covers most of the table so it's not a big deal for me but still something to note if that is important to you. ... show more

UPDATE: 9/17/2020 A customer representative emailed back saying that the missing piece would not adversely affect the usage of the desk and for our “inconvenience,” offered a $30 refund back to the initial form of payment. After a bit of thought, we decided to take the refund and keep the desk. I will try to do something about the missing onset screw on my own, but as far as this issue is concerned, I am satisfied with the way the seller compensated me. —————————————— The desk is OK in quality and sturdiness. At a comparable price tag, you can get better quality from IKEA. The table top is not completely flat as the top is some ridges as design feature. But the grooves are not that deep. It’ll suffice as a computer desk. Just don’t expect to write on a piece of paper using the top without something totally flat underneath it. The metal frame and legs are hollow metal pieces which are thin. SO DO NOT over tighten the machined screws when assembling. MOST important, check that all pieces have threaded inserts in the holes. On mine, one of the legs where a triangular corner brace is secured was missing a threaded insert (pic#1, it is missing; pic#2, threaded insert is present) and did not let me secure it against the leg. Although it probably won’t affect the stability of the desk much, it is an annoyance that such an obvious defect got past QC. I have contacted the customer service about this and they are currently working with me on this issue. I’ll update with the result afterwards. I have until October 9th to return it if they do not work with me to resolve this issue. ... show more
