My son's name is Bruce, so we wanted to dress him up as Bruce the shark, from Finding Nemo. This costume fit our needs perfectly, especially when we put a "Hello! My name is..." name tag on him. It was such a hit at our church Fall Festival. It was also unique in that I didn't see a single other kid in a shark costume, despite Left Shark's popularity. The costume was a little roomy for our one-month old, but that was to be expected. It is thicker and was too warm to keep on him long since the day was so hot, but the thickness would be great on a cooler night. My husband and I especially liked that the feet were attached, so our boy was able to wear it like a little onesie, and we didn't have to worry about losing four different pieces! Super cute! Fit is a little small once your little one is wearing 9 month clothes. It was just short in the torso. Also, don't care for the fact that instead of snaps, it velcros in the crotch. Even when it fit our little one, the velcro kept coming undone as it isn't very strong.

We bought this for our 2 month old to wear. We knew it was going to be big on him, but we figured since he would be in the stroller while he wore it, that would be ok. We were right--it still looked cute and it was a hit. I would guess a 6 month old would fit nicely. I believe the costume was intended for 18-25 lb infants but I definitely wouldn't let a walking child wear it because the feet cannot be removed.
