I bought the brushed nickel version which might have made a difference, but so far this thing has worked great and had no issues. I know some other reviews mentioned rust, so I was super paranoid about that at first, but it's been a couple months, and this thing has worked great with no issues to report. Still looks as good as the day I bought it, no rust, no leaks, no problems. It looks absolutely gorgeous too. Because some other people reported issues with other finishes, I'd maybe recommend the brushed nickel version. Maybe the coating they use on it or the way they finish it helps. I haven't seen anyone talk about issues with the brushed nickel version, and mine doesn't have any issues either, so maybe get the brushed nickel version. A little bit of water does gather around the drain sometimes because the drain's metal lip is flat, but even this hasn't lead to any rust or any other problems. It just evaporates and everything is fine. This gives me a lot of confidence about the other parts getting wet. If the drain can withstand some standing water, surely nothing else is going to have an issue. I really think this thing is gorgeous, which is the other thing I want to mention, because it looks even nicer in person. It's really a beautiful design, and it still looks beautiful after you've owned it a while. The water pressure is nice, maybe a little too nice: you'll have to turn it down when you install it, but that's a good thing in my opinion.
