Our foams are made in the USA! 1.8 High High density foam has a compression rate of 44 lbs. This means for every 44 lbs on a general idea, your foam will compress by 1 inch. High density foam is designed for that firm feeling for those who dont want to sink into their couch. 100% recovery rate, durability : durable, high density foam suitable for long-term use. Dacron is a polyester batting that should be added to any foam surface so that it will not be exposed directly to the fabric. It reduces the friction foam has, and thus reduces wear to fabric. Most importantly, batting fills in any slackness in how you've upholstered your furniture, cushion, etc. And because this will make your upholstered piece looks better. Packing, shipping & cutting foam packages need to be opened immediately once you receive the package. Do not let the foam sit unopened for more than 1 week. Do not open with a box cutter. Use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there. Durability : will last 7 to 10 years. Care instructions : when unpacking, allow at least 2 days for the foam to breathe in order to recover its original size and form. I will never understand why if you say this foam is for a Pelican case that it costs 2-4x as much, but if you say it's for a couch, you get something far less expensive - just like this! If you're cutting foam with a hot wire cutter for use in flight cases, this product is absolutely perfect and is the exact same thing as much more expensive options. I had enough in just one 6' piece of this to do several cases, large and small. It cuts easily and cleanly with a benchtop hot wire device. (Proxxon Thermocut in my case) It does come pretty vacuum-compressed and wrapped into a roll in a ridiculous amount of plastic (think bed-in-a-box) but after a few hours of letting it 'breathe' it fully inflated. There was a bubble or two here and there, but nothing to write home about. ... show more

I bought this to replace a "pick apart" foam gun case liner, which should have been called "fall apart". Cutting it to size was not the easiest thing, and it left a bunch of little foam crumbs on my countertop that were hard to clean up, but it holds the gun far better than the pick apart kind.

These 1 inch high sections are exactly what I needed for iron patio arm rests with a sleeve over it. Semi firm and can be cut with just scissors! Arm rests are very comfortable now.

It's not "firm" as advertised. I make a lot of my own carrying cases for expensive equipment. I've been buying (a lot!) of foam for many years to line the cases. This foam is very soft and can easily be fully compressed. For this reason I will return it. The foam also arrived full of pits or for lack of a better term "pockmarks". The pits themselves aren't an issue for me but it makes me wonder why? ... show more

I received this product today and couldn't be more disappointed. There is no density to this foam at all, for one (which makes the description false to begin with) but it came so tightly wrapped that it ruined the product. Additionally, the cutting of the foam is uneven and can't even be worked with, as well as it being so dented and lumpy I am not even going to bother trying to see if I even got the amount I purchases. The top alone is narrower than the bottom, the cuts are again so uneven it's not even worth trying to work with. I will be returning this product ASAP and never purchasing from them again. Take a look at the pictures to see what you will most likely get when it arrives to you. I should have paid more attention to the reviews; hopefully nobody else has the experience I and many others have had. ... show more
