At first I thought this mouse pad was the best one I had ever tried. It is really easy to clean, as the hybrid surface is water resistant. This hybrid surface also makes the mouse pad very glidy and smooth. After 3 months or so of gaming, the top layer or whatever protective coating they use started to wear off in some places. This made the glide very inconsistent, which was a severe competitive disadvantage. I ended up switching to a mouse pad of the same size that is half the price and has already lasted twice as long. Don't waste your money and buy a desk mat/mouse pad that is better for half the price. ... show more

I love this mouse pad. It's slick but still has good stopping power. I will say it's more fragile than other mouse pads I own. For example, my steel series QCK has been washed maybe 20 times and it's still in great condition. I made the mistake of hand washing this while watching TV and I accidentally rolled it up the wrong way (with the mouse pad surface facing inward instead of to the outside) and this is what happened. It's done for. On their website they tell you to never roll it up this way. So it's my fault I was distracted. However, it's still worth mentioning that it's fragile like this where some other pads are not. I will be ordering another one, however. Just make sure to wash it with more care than you would use on a newborn baby. Note: If you use something like Dawn so or something to wash it with, it's very hard to get all of the soap out of it so you have to find a way to do that without crumpling or rolling it to aggressively. So I'll have to figure out a different cleaning method just for this pad. ... show more

    • Stitching around the edges causes the mat to bubble around the edge.

This mat is the perfect speed and grip, but unfortunately bubbles all the way around the edges due to the stitching. I've left large textbooks laying on it for weeks, but can not get the bubbles out.

After 2 1/2 years of hard use of my last mouse pad/desk mat, I had to finally get a new one. I was using the 48x24 Glorious desk mat. I loved it so much and wanted something similar in the same price range. After much personal debate and research I came across this product. The mouse pad/mat market has come a long way in the last couple of years. I'm mainly an FPS player. So trying to find a good compromise between speed and accuracy. Being able to have good tracking and accurate flicks felt like a pretty daunting task. I'm so glad I came across this product. I'm highly impressed with the build quality of this product. The edged stitching is nice and tight with no bump or overlap incase you run your mouse to the edge. The material feels great! My mouse slides very smoothly with an interesting ability to have the stopping friction that I'm looking for when I and even after a short gaming session I noticed a significant improvement in the accuracy of my mouse. The rubber that contacts my desk definitely does not want to move. My old Glorious mouse mat began to start loosing the grip on my desk after about 18 months, and the Fnatic mouse pad feels a lot better where the rubber meets the desk. If you are searching for a new mouse pad/mat, I would seriously give Fnatic a shot. ... show more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my gaming setup, and have been using Artisan mousepads for the past year or so. Brand new, out of the cylinder, this feels like the Artisan Zero Soft -- but smoother to the touch which is good for those who don't wear a gaming sleeve. About the same speed flicks as the Zero Soft, and what feels like slightly more control on the micro-adjustments. I'm going to run this as my main mousepad and report with an update a few months from now. Pros: Price & quality - like a cheaper Artisan Zero Soft Good quality stitching that doesn't become a distraction Good quality material, smooth to the skin and not abrasive. Not as smooth and buttery as the Zero X-Soft, but not as course as the Zero Soft. Cool little Fnatic logo in the corner, which I personally like. Cons: Packaging - rolled up in a cylinder Thicker than expected Some might not like the Fnatic logo in the corner. ... show more

For starters, as you can see in my photo the packaging is absolutely top-tier for a mouse pad. Because of the oversized tube it comes in, it rolls out completely flat right out of the box! I’ve been using a glorious cloth pad for over a year now (with no regrets) but it was time for something new. I checked out x-ray pads, artisan pads, and Odin pads. Price really wasn’t a factor for me, was willing to pay whatever considering the hours I put into gaming. After so much back and fourth I first bought a Aqua Control plus but there was a mess-up on the order (not through Amazon, but another company) so I ended up returning it. Out of the box when I felt it I was worried it was going to be too fast in terms of control because it looked and felt slicker than my glorious pad (which is known as also being a hybrid pad). Surprisingly it has much more drag than I anticipated and that’s exchange I was looking for! More control, but not near as muddy as an artisan pad I tried out. Okay so overall based on quality, price and expectations. This is an EASY 5/5. I recommend putting this baby in your arsenal. It has way too much backing from the pros for you to at least not try it out. ... show more
