These dress shoes look nice; they are black and dull shined on delivery. The toe is more pointed than I typically like in an Oxford. They do not take polish well at all so if you plan on polishing them to a high shine it’s not going to go well. I’m still breaking them in but they run about a half size large. I am a solid size 9 in every shoe I wear but these ones I should have gotten an 8.5 I think. 9 is fine so I’m not returning them but I need to wear thicker socks not typical dress socks.     • Runs large but narrow!
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Cognac
I ordered this shoe 3 times to find the right fit and had to buy online just to try a Wide. I am normally very comfortable in an 11 D/M (normal width) but in this shoe I am a 10.5 Wide and it still feels a bit snug on the width but I'm hoping that will break in. The 10.5 Wide comes as an EEE but it feels a lot like the 11 D that I tried on in stores- FYI if you have this locally for a better price they aren't great about being "Wide". Other than that they feel like they're going to be comfortable however my feet felt warm within seconds of putting them on so they might be too hot. Update: I wore these and they were comfortable, feet did not feel overly hot even after a whole day, and the ortholite insert did a good job as my feet were not achy even after 10-11 hours of being in these shoes (as opposed to other dress shoes I've purchased that took a few wears before my feet would stop hurting from being in them). ... show more

This shoe is a dress shoe as opposed to a shoe designed for extensive use. The toes are more narrow than the picture may indicate and the toe box not as high. My shoe size is 12W. My Medfield is 12EEE. The width is adequate, but not especially wide. My toe is about a half inch from the tip of the shoe: something shorter would have been a problem for me. The leather is supple. The brown is attractive with dark highlights at the toe and heel. The heel is manmade. For me this is close to an ideal choice. However , this may not be a good choice for someone who needs a true 12WWW or who will do a fair amount of daily walking. ... show more

I recently purchased a pair of Florsheim Men's Medfield Oxford Dress Shoes in an 11 wide, for a trip to Brasilia. I needed a nice-looking pair of dress shoes that could be worn comfortable right out of the box for extensive walking. These shoes were PERFECT! I first wore them on the flight, and they fit like butter. Totally comfortable, without a "breaking-in" period needed. Loved it! Then, over the course of three days in Brasilia, I logged in about 15 miles worth of walking in these shoes. Here I am back home after the trip, and they are still in tip-top shape! I was worried when I ordered these. I didn't have much time before a wedding where I planned on wearing them. I thought for sure that I was going to have to figure out a way to break them in quickly. This is my 4th pair of florsheim’s. I wear them everyday for work and when I want to class it up (date nights, etc). Highly recommend as the quality and look for price is outstanding. I’ve had a pair for about 4 years that I wore 3-5 days a week for the first 2 years. With some basic care (leather cleaner, polish, etc) they still look brand new. ... show more

Tried to buy dress shoes locally. No inventory. Haven't tried Florshiem in decades. These fit well and the quality is above average for the price point ($140), better than ECCO. Very nicely boxed. Now I know why Florseim is still in business and Rockport is tanking. Nice full leather shoe except for the sole. Comfortable and don't squeak and squawk as I walk--unlike the Rockports. I ordered a half size larger to fit my orthotics. Great shoe so I bought another pair
