This is sturdy and fun! But be aware that it is VERY large! We have to partially deflate it to fit in the trunk or seat of the car. Would do well in the back of a pickup if you can tie it down, but beware of hot vehicle metal - it melted a hole in the toy that required patching. This is a great pool toy. Its great for all ages, and offers a lot of different options. Young kids will have fun with it, because its easy to use, and adults can make all sorts of different games with it. It's safer than a normal hoop for little kids, seeing as it's inflatable. Its durable, and built to last. Made from a nice Vinyl material. It has easy to use valves, but it will take a while to blow up. Air Pump reccomended. The package came with a basketball, and we were playing pool games in no time. The best part is, the material is much stronger and more durable than other pool hoops we've had before, so I'm confident it will last for many seasons to come. One thing I really appreciate about this pool hoop is its portability. The large bore valves allow for quick inflation and deflation, making it easy to set up and take down. These two volleyballs come in a pack that includes the air pump, which is very handy. Yes, they are high quality and completely waterproof! My boys have enjoyed hours of pool play on several occasions. Note, these volleyballs are very sturdy and professional-looking. They're not just little kid toys. They'll be great to take to the beach, too. The bright colors will make it difficult to lose them on a busy beach ha ha. If you're on the fence about purchasing these, go ahead and take the leap. There is a coupon that came with mine for extra balls. When going to order, it states that no longer in stock. Suspicious considering that after only a couple weeks of use, the ball is cracking, probably from UV (sun) exposure. We don't even leave the ball in the pool and its already weather-rotting. Cheap material. The game doesn't play well - everybody hates it - good players to novices. Very difficult to make and does not eject through various point holes as advertised.     • Loses Air, Still Fun...

This product is definitely fun for pool play. It is quite large, which was a pleasant surprise (with an automatic air pump inflation was 15 total minutes out of the box). The basketball it comes with is the same quality of a typical indoor/outdoor basketball and floats. The problem is it does not retain air well. After inflation, immediately upon removing the airpump, air began rapidly leaving the device. There are four sections to inflate, and this issue is consistent throughout. So you need to be quick to close the inflation opening. The largest section (the bottom and main floating apparatus) deflated overnight and continues to lose air, requiring a daily refill for use. The other sections seem to be holding up better, but the air pressure and sturdiness have definitely decreased after just a few days. At the asking price we paid, roughly $33, it's a good enough value not to return it. However, I strongly recommend an automatic air pump due to the size. ... show more

It's very durable for an inflatable. It's made of fairly heavy weight vinyl. My oldest son and his 2 sons LOVE it! They play with it in my pool every weekend. The inflator that comes with it is too small, but I bought a better one locally, hand operated like a hand bicycle pump, that inflates on both the up and down stroke; it inflates the Hoop Shark reasonably quickly (it inflates in 4 compartments). It has a small ring on the bottom through which we have run a cord so we can anchor it with 2 milk jugs filled with water. It's IMPORTANT that the Hoop Shark be anchored so that it does not rub against anything and rub a hole. Because the Hoop Shark can drift a small amount, they have discovered that it's not as easy as they thought it would be. And still they love it. Oh, the basketball is made of basketball material (making it super durable) but is smaller in size. ... show more
