  • Fun & easy to learn but has luck and decision making
My family really enjoys games, so I quickly read through the rules of Flip 7. They are very well written so that I completely understood the rules after only one readthrough (and no need to watch a video for more explanations!) I appreciate well-written rules. The game goes quickly and played well with our family of 4. Be aware you will need a way to track everyone's running score tally. This game is great if you enjoy a bit of wagering and luck combined with some intelligence - there are different amounts of cards, so if you can actually count cards, you would do very well! We enjoyed this game as a family since there isn't a lot of "attacking" other players or anything like that - basically you end up with the choices YOU make, which caused me to lose since I kept going when I should have stopped flipping more cards! It's a bit like a fun variation on blackjack, with a few twists and fun cards thrown in. I don't know why the box is so large - it could be much smaller, but it has a lot of excess cardboard that serves no function other than to hold the deck in place in the middle. Overall, that's not a reason to lose a star because we all really enjoyed the game! ... show more

  • Very fun card game
We've played other games by the same company and have loved them. This game is no disappointment. Is it the greatest card game of all time? That'll be up to you to decide, but there are a number of things we like about this. 1. It's easy to play 2. Both kids and adults like it in our testing 3. The game moves quick 4. It's got a mix of strategy and chance, but doesn't hurt the brain trying to figure out strategy 5. It can accomodate small to really large groups. We often run into games that allow play for only 4 people, but we often have a group larger than that. This game can go for as many players as you like, but they do recommend to buy an additional deck if playing with more than 18 people. The game play is straight forward, although it did take us a bit to figure out, if you get the draw three, you draw three cards even if you get out (a double card) on the first draw, and even out, you still have to put into play any freeze, draw, etc. action cards. All in all, a very fun card game to play with just a few or lots of friends. ... show more

  • Fast Paced and Easy to Learn, FUN to play
Is it the "The Greatest Card Game of All Time" as the box states? Probably not, but it has quickly become one of our favorites among the many games we play for family game nights, so that is pretty high honors. We were initially reluctant to play because it seemed to involve a lot of adding numbers, but it's very easy to learn and keep track of score as you play rounds to reach a winning score of 200. It's a quick paced game, but not stressfully so, and rounds go quickly. Overall, a fun card game that gets requested for replay by the family. It's great that it can accommodate a large group of people (up to 18) and even more if you add a second deck (separate purchase). The youngest in our group is 16, but I think it is appropriate for 8 and up as stated by the product description. The card quality is good, and instructions are easy to follow. ... show more

  • Quick and Easy
I enjoy games that I can teach to other people in just a couple of minutes without tons of rules and confusion. This game is very easy to learn and pick up, and you can play for a very short period of time or for hours depending on your mood. A round can be done in just a few minutes and you aren't bound to a 3 hour game which is great. Fun to pick up on an afternoon and knock out a few rounds with my kids. ... show more

  • Reveal your impulsive nature
Flip 7 has quickly become one of our new favorite family games. It's very easy to learn. It reminds me of the game of Farkle a little bit. The more we play Flip 7, the more we see which members of the family would bet it all and lose big if we ever took a trip to Vegas! You've got to know when to take a "Hit" and when to stop or you will "Bust" and lose your points for that round. My kids enjoy taunting me to just take a few more turns because I'm close to getting 7 cards. Without fail, I always bust and my kids laugh because I couldn't resist the temptation. The game doesn't take long to complete and it works with several players. We've been playing with our 10 year old. I think it would be fine for a bit younger child too. ... show more

  • Super fun and fast game!
This is an exciting game that the whole family can enjoy! My 11-year-old absolutely loves it. The quality is good, with sturdy cards and a durable box, making it easy to handle and store. The game is also simple to learn, thanks to the clear and straightforward instructions. It's a fantastic addition to our family game nights! ... show more

  • So fun!
My family is always looking for new game night games. This is a fantastic and fun, and very easy to learn. Basically if you can do addition, you will be able to play this game. It says it is 3+ players, but my husband and mom played together with just the two of them when the rest of us moved on to a different game. This game is fast paced, and would be fun for almost all ages (as long as they can add up to 200 using single and double digit numbers). The cards are well constructed, and the art is very pretty! ... show more
