I have always like the DC-3, but not from experience: only reputation. This model put together fairly easily (I had to use a nail file to make the mount fit in...just a matter of seconds). I found it a very good representation of the actual DC-3 Flagship Knoxville sitting in the American Airlines Museum near DFW International Airport. I’m a retired American Airlines flight crew member. My dad flew the US Navy version DC-3 after WWII between Hawaii and mainland China carrying war surplus to fight the communists led by Mao Tse Tung. ... show more

This is a 1:100 NOT 1:200. The model while made of cheap plastic that doesnt really fit it is still a nice model, but the wrong deacription kills it for me.
