I did a lot of research for budget standing desks without compromising features and I'm really happy about choosing the black desk here. The black color makes dust not easily seen, and the dual motor, three stage legs make for a super sturdy and quick moving desk. It has three programmable buttons for different heights, really after setting those up, I never found myself using the up and down arrows anymore as you have to hold them down to move the desk. With the anti collision, the desk does take a few steps back when it pushes against or tugs something, and I'd much rather leave this feature on, in case i might disconnect a cable running down the desk. You do have to screw in the controls and all the parts to the table top itself, but the one time setup is worth it for such a sturdy desk. ... show more

I have another height adjustable (smaller at 47") desk from Progressive Desks that I bought back in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. The Progressive is built like a tank, and I was mightily impressed by that brand despite it being completely new to me. This particular Flexispot desk comes very close to that Progressive Dual Motor Desk in terms of quality - extremely well built though slightly under powered motor (the Progressive desk moves faster, and does not have much constraint on the use cycle of the motors (Flexispot recommends no more than 2 minutes of operation in a 20-minute timespan), lighter overall (both the frame and the desktop despite being 55" long). The good part is I bought this almost at the same price point at which I bought the Progressive Desk (which is now 1.5-2.0 times the 2020 pricing) - this means a lot more value for the FlexiSpot. Also, assembling the FexiSpot is much easier, mainly due to the fact that the top came with markers for the holes and the extendable frame just needed to be aligned and screwed in; the Progressive Desktop did not have the predrilled holes leading to all kinds of measuring and marking to ensure the supporting frame is really in the middle. ... show more

Arrived without any damage and was fairly easy to assemble with 2 people. It is very heavy and study which was important to me having it around a small child. Also love that it has collision sensors. The other reason I chose this model was the extended height range. The lowest setting is perfect while sitting since I’m 5’0” and the memory settings are awesome. The dual motors have no problem with the weight of my widescreen monitor, monitor riser, laptop, and the PC tower and mount that I added to the underside of the desktop. The only thing I don’t like is the surface of the top. It’s too slick for my liking and the edge will dig into your wrists if you rest your hands on the keyboard. Adding a mat solved this for me. It would also be wonderful if they included a cord management tray in addition to the clips. I purchased one separately to hold a power strip, docking station, and cables. ... show more

Legs feel sturdy and the motor is very quiet. The controls seem a bit... oversensitive? It has some kind of feature where it is supposed to ignore accidental activation of the buttons, but in practice, holding down the "up" key to initially set the height made it go up for 1 second and then it would reverse, which is annoying because I had to keep tapping the key instead of holding it down. Only 1 person will be using this desk so this shouldn't be an issue after initially setting the "sitting" and "standing" height. An annoying surprise to me was that there were no pilot holes for mounting the screw plate on the underside of the desk. I guess since they sell the legs and desktops separately in lots of configurations, they make the end comsumer drill their own pilot holes. ... show more

The instructions lacked clarity in certain sections, but I got it together and it works perfectly. The most confusing part was what distance to use between the two legs. The thing to do is affix the legs on the desktop and size accordingly. It does not say to put the legs and desktop together at this point in the instructions. Placement of the electronic components may not matter as the wires are quite long. The unit is solid, heavy, and works perfectly. It has two motors which is recommended for quicker and stronger movement. It goes up and down evenly. The memory function is nice. ... show more

Great product. Easy to put together, set up, and use. Solid build. There really are no negatives. Really glad I went with the two motor version. The heavier than normal Tower and two monitor setup are lifted easily. The only thing I could suggest is that the top could be attached to the frame more solidly for moving purposes after assembled for flipping it sideways in tight spots, but that is truly nit picking. The desk arrived in 2 parts -- 1) the table top, and 2) the legs and the motor assemblies. The table top arrived with dents and scratches. Albeit the table top appeared to be packed decently, because of its weight it looks like it was damaged on the side and the box it came with just couldn't take it, even with reasonable paddings. I think the shipper (FedEx) could have handled it better. The box with the legs and the motors arrived with no damages. Messaged the seller about the issue. The seller offered the choice of a discount or a table top replacement. We opted for a replacement table top. The seller agreed. In 2 days we got the tracking number of the replacement table top. In 3 days the new table top arrived. This time it is a winner -- even the box had some bruises and scratches, the padding protected the table top OK. Assembling the whole thing isn't too difficult. The up-and-down motions work well. The mahogany color is beautiful. Overall, the desk is good. We like it. I also appreciate the decent customer service experience. ... show more
