We received this desk yesterday for my husband and ofcourse I couldn’t wait to put it together and didn’t listen to him to wait til the next day. I finished assembling this with my daughter around 1:30 am 🤨 and Twas all worth it. Great kind of bonding for the first time, she’s very helpful. I got frustrated when the wooden legs didn’t stretch (yes wood, yea stretch to align) right away to fit to the metal holes for the glass desk to put on top. She tried calling customer service at midnight, lol ofcourse everyone is asleep. I think assembly is very easy if I had to redo it all over again, should be within an hour. ... show more

I bought this desk in August 2019 and I am still using it. It has a solid and stylish frame and heavy glass top. In my opinion, it brings a modern elquoent style to my home office. I only have two problems with the desk. One, the keyboard tray has a strong black metal frame but something about the inside silver metal railing made the tray hard to slide in and out. After moving to two different cities with the desk, one of the screws fail out of the silver rail and I can't find it. HOWEVER, I can now slide the tray in and out. So, it's possible that the issue with the tray was an assembler issue (that would be me, the assembler). My second problem is I bought the desk, but now I want the "l-shape portion" of the desk (which is what brought me to writing this review). I hope someone from Amazon or from Flash Furniture can tell me if I can buy the "l-shape portion" of the desk separately and how much it is. Overall, this is a beautiful desk that I still enjoy sitting at and would love to add on to with the "l-shape portion". ... show more

I am very happy to get this and use it as my gaming table . It looks good , infact a little classy . And also it's very sturdy . I have kept lot of stuff on it including a heavy duty laptop it all holds well . Doesn't shake , looks well made . However as other reviewers mentioned , the size of the table is not accurate . The dimensions mentioned are of the glass only . Also difficult to assemble . Reading those reviews , I was prepared and while assembling , I first installed all the screws a little loose and only tightened at the end . This worked in aligning all the screws . I love this desk. I am an avid Amazon shopper as well a thorough review reader of all the products I buy. I read all the good reviews and all the bad. I tend not to buy products that have more than 25% of bad reviews. On this desk, it was much less, but read the bad ones anyway and noticed a pattern that made me think some of the people who bought this desk really just didn't think things through with regard to assembly. Instructions So the biggest complaint was that the one page instructions were terrible. Yes they are not the greatest, however, they do tell you where every single screw goes to assemble by number and size. If you lay everything out and look at each number closely, you are golden. Piece orientation Second biggest complaint was how the pieces are oriented to fit together properly. Most of them are pretty obvious, a few you MUST to a test fit/alignment to make sure they are in the right position. I can tell you in my experience,that during assembly, a few holes were not where they were supposed to be. Not because of faulty design or manufacture, but because I had something backwards or i grabbed the wrong section and tried to assemble it and said "Oh, that's not right because I grabbed the wrong piece, whoops". Check, check and double check you have the right piece before you start getting angry and want to throw the thing away and post a bad review. Quality In my opinion, this desk is designed, built and functions really well. Is it worth $75? Mehh. Id say $50 tops is the right price point for it but it is what it is. The glass top is tempered, so thats a plus for quality, function and of course safety. Im a metallurgist (study metal) by trade so I know most everything metal. The steel is run of the mill mild steel, however is strong and durable. Another big complaint was the keyboard tray. I saw nothing wrong with it or the sliders. Were the pre-drilled holes aligned with the receiving holes on the sliders? Yes. Were they big enough to receive the counter sunk screws? No. However, no big deal people!! Take a small drill bit and go in just a hair down to open the holes and insert the screws, walah!,done! This desk is really a good buy for your inexpensive search on a desk. The color option compliments a majority of home interiors. A bonus in the looks department is that the legs are real wood, not compressed particle board. Overall, this is a great product. I assembled it fully in an hour flat. The reviews of taking hours or days to assemble are absurd. Those are the people that just lost patience and gave up. ... show more
