We love this desk! Having sold our house and moving into a rental unit for a few months, we needed a desk that would accommodate a monitor and many ,many drives (because I work in the media industry), with plenty of space for other things. Well, this was easy to assemble with the included tool , incredibly sturdy, beautifully designed and wonderful to work on, so I bought another one for my partner! Reading the reviews, you will see that some people got damaged goods and I'm sure that has happened and other people found it difficult to put together, which I'm sure could be a problem for a small group of folks, but this is not only an incredible value but a wonderfully useful piece of furniture for someone who needs a small desk that fits beautifully into a small space. I will start out by saying how much I absolutely love my new desk, it has all the features I wanted, how it arrived and was so easy to assemble, all parts were included, easy instructions, perfect size, fits in with my decor. But it would all be a lie, because it never arrived, and probably never will. Funny, yesterday 9/1/2020 there were about 8 one star negative reviews here all saying the same thing about how their desks never arrived, never given a tracking number, told it was shipped when it wasn't, delayed and or lost. Now they are all gone. 🤔 I'm giving 5 stars for the lies and deceipt. Mine said shipped, then running behind but would arrive between Aug 19th and the 28th, it never arrived so I contacted the seller twice, both times requesting the tracking number, as it went from on it's way, to delayed, running late, may be lost, but may still arrive, while being told by the seller, it hasn't shipped yet, so no available tracking number. I don't know what to think, considering I ordered this August 10th, with no desk as of yet. This review will most likely be deleted. Either it was shipped or it wasn't, either you have a tracking number or not, if it's lost replace it, at least be honest that you are out of stock, or don't wish to sell now at the sale price. I will eventually get my refund, right now I don't want to end up with 2 desks if one is still floating out there in time and space, & then have to return it. Honesty is always the best policy, why can't the seller just be upfront and admit there is no desk. I don't know. One hates to think the worst of someone, but I have not received any tracking proof it was sent, other then what Amazon has listed, or proof it wasn't. Welcome to 2020 where you can say and do whatever you please, and attempt to get away with it. All I wanted was a small computer desk, and I thought this was the one for me, now I'm not so sure. Guess I will continue my search for the perfect desk since this one will probably not arrive anytime soon. Thank you for this experience. Because of covid-19, I had to start working from home. So, I've been using this desk for about three months. The assembly was okay, but probably best to have a second person to help. I also feel like there should be some way to designate which side is the front of the desk and. I had to take pieces apart a couple of times to get it to all fo together correctly. This very well may have been human error though. It's a nice desk. Not super heavy so easy to move, but sturdy enough for me to sit at 8.5 hours a work day. It holds 2 monitors (Icam not sure what size, they are work issued). I also like the lower shelf. It's perfect to hold the small tower I use for work, and also, I use it to put up my feet while working. I think this was meant to hold books, which it could but I feel the would get knocked over by my legs/knees if I had any there. It fit great into the small space I had available and I am very satisfied with how its held up so far. ... show more

I ordered these desks as I’m familiar with the Flash Furniture brand and have bought a couple of their gaming chairs and a conference table and have had pretty good luck with them. Here’s what I like about the desks: Packaging - The desks are packaged great. There was one puncture mark in the package but the desk was fully protected with the foam packaging. Assembly - No joke, I built one of these on a Saturday morning when the family was still sleeping so I couldn’t turn on the lights and it was still dark due to a thunderstorm. It took me about 20 minutes to build by myself. The one item I messed up was the legs because I didn’t see the extra hole in the legs on each side for the reinforcement bar, so I just had to undo them and reverse them when I realized I made a mistake. The second desk took me about 15 minutes with my 10 yr old daughter helping and our 8 month old golden retriever getting in the middle of the mix. Sturdiness - These say commercial grade and there is no doubt they are. The metal used in the frame is rock solid and the top of the desk feels just as strong. Design - The desks really look great. It is a nice design and blends on well with our other furniture. Pros - design, construction, packaging and assembly Cons - Maybe a little small, but the dimensions are on the description, so that is my bad. What I buy again? Yes ... show more

If you're looking at this item, chances are that you're searching for a cheap desk that will fit in a very small area. If those are your requirements, this will do nicely. It goes together quickly and easily, and seems pretty sturdy. It's definitely no frills, but if you don't need anything fancy, I don't think you'll be disappointed. However, if your goal is to use this desk with a computer monitor, it's really not very good for that (in its stock configuration). Ergonomically, when seated at a desk, the monitor should be at eye level and you should not need to tilt your head up / back in order to look at it. When using this desk as it is intended to be assembled, the monitor is up WAAAY too high, even if you have an adjustable monitor in its lowest height configuration. I ended up removing the extra posts and mounting the upper part of the desk at the same level as the main part of the desk. (It required me to drill some new holes and move the mounting inserts, but only took about 20 minutes and didn't require me to buy any additional hardware). With these changes, I think the desk makes a lot more sense. Overall, I think this is a good desk, but I would recommend making some modifications if you intend to use it with a computer monitor. If you just want to use it as a normal desk or with a laptop, it is totally fine 'as is'. ... show more

It's not a bad desk so I'm giving it 3 stars, but this is the kind of product I wish that I could have tried out before I purchased it. First, I'll get to the good points. It was pretty easy to install. It seems very sturdy, the design of the legs gives it a wide base so it doesn't rock very much considering the materials it is built out of. And it looks nice. I also like the textured, non-slip surface of the shelves. Finally, the price is great, you get something of fairly decent construction for what you're paying. Now to the bad points. First of all, do not make the mistake I did and underestimate how small it is. This is just barely wide and deep enough to fit a standard keyboard and mouse onto. And that's about it. The top-most shelf is a good size for a 24" monitor flanked by small speakers, but the main shelf is very small. I made it work, but I had to remove all of the extra knickknacks I kept on my old shelf. The really bad part, though, is that the bottom-most shelf ensures that you have zero leg room at all. I'm not kidding here. It seems like the desk is built for someone whose legs end at the knees. You can't come close enough to type on a keyboard without banging your shins into it. I've come to sit cross-legged with my feet on the shelf as a compromise, and I can get by this way. But if I wasn't so scared of the desk becoming unstable I'd remove this shelf. So just keep these things in mind. I wish I'd read about awkwardness of this bottom shelf from other reviews or I'd have passed on this shelf. For now I'm going to try to get used to it, but it'll be a challenge. ... show more

I recently purchased this to replace two other compact desks. I had bought a desk (roughtly the same size as this one) in 2007 from Walmart that was showing its age and a rollaway laptop desk last year that had one of its casters fall off (OK, I tripped over it). This desk gets five stars for the following reasons. Assembly: Very easy directions - they supply an Allen wrench and all the materials you need. It will take you about 30-45 minutes to assemble - the hardest parts will be the large and medium shelves, where you need a good eye and some strength to get them in. The only thing that threw me was with the third shelf towards the legs - if you look at it the shelve you'll say "Huh? How am I going to get this in?" but look on the sides and you'll see a pencil eraser sized area near the front. Poke your screw into that area and voila! it gives way for a place for the screw to be put in. I recommend keeping everything about 3/4 tightened until it's finished, and then tighten fully. Size: This desk not only fits my laptop, but my netbook, computer monitor and docking station for work. Also, as I'm a tall guy, the area under the desk has plenty of room. Value: My initial goal was to buy an L shaped desk, but the measurements would not jibe with the area I sit in. A desk that fits everything and is comfortable for under $50?
