Flamingals have become the only brand of jeans I buy anymore because I love them - they fit well and most of them are stretchy denim, and I like some of the options that you won't find everywhere, like this pair I'm rating now. I really love the look of the front pockets, but their shape doesn't prevent them from being usable/practical. Their jeans are also of good quality/thickness and last better than pairs I've gotten in the past from, say, Old Navy. I wish they had options for an in-seam besides 32, and it's weird that there's better selection on Amazon than on their own site/app. But either way, great jeans...! ... show more

LOVE- Flamingals Wide Leg Jeans for Women! Height: 5' 6" Weight: 167 Purchase Quantity: 6 Pairs Size: Medium+Large Colors: Sky Blue, Light Blue, Denim Blue, Dark Blue. FLATTERING for wider hips, legs and booty. I have received dozens of compliments - "those jeans look great on you" "you look thinner" "where did you get them". The jeans sit just below the belly button and are very stretchy (at minimum these jeans are a 1/2 size larger, really more like 1 size larger. Suggest sizing down, you can always return and buy another pair) Shrinage: Machine wash cold, Hang Dry - No Shrinkage, for Dryer: Low Heat on permanent press for 15 minutes (max) then hang dry rest of the way and you have the perfect amount of shrinkage to fit as they did when you bought them. Material is comfy, soft, and the durability is fantastic for the money - Worth the Buy! ... show more

I really wanted to love these Flamingals Wide Leg Jeans, but I’m walking away with very mixed feelings. If you are looking for a true, oversized "skater" vibe from the late 90s, these might be your holy grail. However, if you’re looking for a flattering wide-leg look that still shows you have a shape, these might be a bit too much fabric to handle. The Fit (The Good Part) First, the sizing: I am 5'6" and weigh about 164 lbs. I ordered the Size 13, and I will say they actually nailed it in the hips and waist. Usually, I struggle with a "gap" in the back of the waistband, but these hugged my hips perfectly without digging in. The denim is surprisingly stretchy, which makes them very comfortable for sitting or moving around. The "low rise" is accurate—it sits right on the hips without being "Britney Spears 2001" low, which I appreciated. The "Baggy" Problem (The Not-So-Good Part) The issue for me is everything from the mid-thigh down. I know the title says "Baggy," but these feel excessively wide. Because the denim is so stretchy and soft, it doesn't have much structure, so the fabric just kind of hangs and pools around my legs. Instead of a chic, intentional wide-leg silhouette, they just felt a bit "too big" and overwhelmed my 5’6” frame. I felt like I was drowning in denim, and it made me look much wider than I actually am. Length and Style At 5'6", the length was okay with a chunky sneaker or a small heel, but with flats, I’d definitely be stepping on the hems. The "straight leg bootcut" description in the title is a bit confusing because these are definitely 100% wide-leg jeans. Final Verdict If you are very tall or specifically want that "massive" baggy look where the fabric hides your legs entirely, these are high-quality and comfortable. But if you’re around my height and weight and want something that balances your curves, these might feel a little too "sloppy." I’m keeping them for "lounge-at-home" jeans because they are so soft, but I won’t be wearing them out for a styled look. A Quick Sizing Tip for Next Time: Since these had a "stretchy" material, you might actually be able to size down to an 11 next time. Usually, with stretchy wide-leg denim, sizing down helps pull in that excess fabric in the legs while the stretch still accommodates your hips. ... show more

I love these jeans! They are not high rise, but rather a mid rise fit. They fit below my natural waist, just above my hip. If I knew they were mid rise, I would have sized up. They are super cute, very comfortable, and great quality denim. They might be long for some. I am 5’7” and the length was great for me with a thick soled shoe or boot like Doc’s. These are so cute. I really like the detailing in front and the back pockets. The material is nice and stretchy. I think they run a bit big, I returned the medium and ordered the small which fit me perfectly. For reference I am 5’6 138lbs.

Okay—these are actually really cute if you like that relaxed, baggy fit. The denim has a good weight to it and doesn’t feel thin at all. They sit lower rise, so just keep that in mind for fit, but once you style them right they look really on trend. I like them with a fitted top to balance everything out. They have a really nice color to them and I love that they don’t wrinkle very much. They are a thicker material so in the heat of the summer, they’re not my favorite but any of the cooler months they get a lot of use. They are great value for the money and look like some other designer and much more expensive jeans.
