Amazon recommended a size medium for me, after reading the reviews I ordered a small. I ended up returning the small and getting an extra small. Firstly, they are huge! I know and expected a little baggy look because of style, but they are very very big. Second, they are not soft at all, very stiff. I give credit to them apparently being made well and a cute design/style. For reference I’m 5’2” 100 lbs. I even got an extra small- it’s nope and I returned. I bought these jeans on a whim because they looked cute, but I expected the fabric to be super thin, which meant I'd only be able to wear them in the summer. I was wrong. These jeans have exceeded my expectations on every level. First, the quality is top-notch. The fabric is not super-thin; I will be able to wear these in the winter, no problem. I love that they have a little stretch to them. They are super cute, and flattering even to a plus-size person. I haven't washed them yet, but they are well-made and have enough stretch to them that they will only get softer with washing, and they are already soft. They are no-doubt, pre-shrunk, too, so I'm not concerned about that either. The pockets are great. I've decided I like these so much, I'm going to get them in either gray or black, too.
