I want to be fair to the seller of this product and it is MY opinion only. As for freshness, it's as if it just came out of the oven fresh. I think this product is for only a certain type of person. lol It was NOT what I was expecting at all. It tastes horrible, but for the right person, it might taste as its suppose to. I honestly thought i'd never get that taste out of my mouth. I was told to try flax seed products for inflammation my immune system is causing me, but I never expected this. For those that love its taste it might be just what you're looking for.

As a dietician and physician assistant, I truly believe "you are what you eat."I therefore eat extremely we'll including a wide variety of foods that do not always taste as delicious as I would like, but that is okay. I have actually gotten used to eating foods that some people in my life could not possibly tolerate. Since I am trying a "gluten free, sugar free (including no fruit which contains natural sugar and no artificial sweeteners) food plan for 21 days so I wanted something to "crunch on." I read that this product fits into my anti-inflammatory plan so I couldn't wait tot try ti. When My husband saw me one the package he said the flaxseed crackers looked good and he wanted to try one too. neither of us could handle the one bite, and we were nauseas from its taste alone! It looks good if you like flaxseeds, and I do. It has a nice crunch if you like that which many people enjoy. But the taste was vile and neither I nor my husband had an easy time getting the potent vile taste out of our mouth. I brushed my teeth WELL, I ate foods with a rich flavor to mask the after taste....but the aftermath was awful! I do not recommend, and I like and/or tolerate just about anything that is healthful. I do not mean to sound obnoxious, but I would give this "zero stars" if I could. Lastly, these crackers in this favor (the only flavor I tried), seriously smells like a potent smelling dog treat that I have a hard time givingly dog since it smell so strong. Perhaps I associated that smell (of the dog treat) with the taste of this product? Regardless, I was seriously nauseous after eating this product and the after taste angered for not just me, but for my hubby too. It's just awful!

Of the 4 flavors. My personal tastes ran from a zero, won't probably eat more than the first ones I tried (Cinnamon & Currants) to 'ok' and doable maybe with some accessories like cheese or PB. (Sea Salt), to 'I can eat 8 (1 serving, 9g fiber) or 16 of these plain and while they aren't Nacho Cheese Doritos, I can enjoy the flavor (Rosemary & Savory). The Savory is my favorite. They have a little heat to them via red chilli flakes. Visually they are very much a processed fusion of flax seeds, in that they are obviously a flattened layer of flax seeds that are formed and cut, not as beautiful as the pictures on the outside of the bag. This isn't an issue for me but some may find this off putting. I also arrived at this product via Casey Means videos and book. In the war to get fiber in my diet this is a option that works for me. It's worth a try to see if it works for you.

I thought the taste was a good quality, the texture and crunch was terrific. Really satisfied my craving for a cracker or a chip. I put it on with guacamole or some organic natural almond butter. I would recommend it.

My wife and I got theses after listening to Casey Means' book and we were pleasantly surprised by the taste, especially after reading a lot of (extremely) lengthy bad reviews. The Garden Vegatable flavor is good for what it is (a healthfood chip), and we honestly could eat these by themselves or with cheese or hummus. These aren't your overly processed potato chips or wheat treats loaded with garbage, so obviously they aren't going to taste like that. It's a fairly simple chip with a simple flavor and no fluff. Good enough for us.

It truly tastes bad and fishy like other reviewers say! Of course I wish I read those reviews before buying Flaxseeds mimic the earthy, oceanic umami of seaweed. This product has way, way too high ratio of flaxseed c/w its other ingredients. It’s missing another plant ingredient to balance the taste. More flavor ingredients would help too. Not to mention because of the extremely high ratio of flaxseed, it has Proposition 65 warning about Cadmium and Lead, yet the manufacturer doesn’t even bother to share the estimated levels
