WE LOVE THIS DINO!! I should say, my son LOVES this dino. By Love, I mean he will ALWAYS go for the dino -- it doest matter if the balls are inside, he will stick his little fingers inside and feel for the up and down motion. He will also put every other toy and object inside - nothing is off limits. Legos, remote controls, cell phones, soppy cups, and stuffed animals have all bounced inside this dino. The music and sound effect is quite annoying but I have learned to completely block it out. There is no way to turn the sound off but keep the bouncing on -- that is quite unfortunate but its OK with me. The volume settings are LOUD and LOUDER. That is really the only con about this toy -- and really, with a babbling baby, you have to expect noise, right? I actually find the up-beat music soothing since i know my baby is busy with independent play. Nothing mesmerizes my little guy like this toy. He has been playing with it since about 7 months and he is now 10 months old and loves it more than ever. He will always crawl towards the dino and spend some time picking up the balls, sticking his hand inside the "belly" and finding it hilarious that it bops up and down. To an adult, this dino doesn't seem all that special but babies go wild for it and that is what counts! I truly recommend this as a "must-have" for anyone with infants. I am a stay at home mom and love good toys that keep his attention and entertain him. He has learned "cause and effect" with this, because he will turn the sound on by himself by pressing the orange button inside. He feels really accomplished when the dino turns on :) He also loves to crawl around the playroom with the balls and play with them separately. The dino is taking more abuse now because he is crawling on top of it and turning it upside down and throwing heavy objects inside, but so far so good! The dino is holding up. Thank you Fisher Price for giving us a toy that really is fun and educational and "speaks" to little babies. ... show more

  • Dino toy

This thing is pretty loud but my 15 month old loves it! He thinks it is so cool for the balls to pop out.

  • Interesting toy for infants
We first purchased this toy about 9 months ago when our son was just starting to crawl. He had very little interest in chasing after the balls, but he loves to use this toy as his little "cauldron" for experimentation. He enjoys putting anything and everything into the dino to see what will happen when it starts to pop/bounce. The toy has taken months of abuse from remote controls, cars, blocks, and our son standing in it. The popper has just recently started to die and will no longer pop the balls high enough to pop out of the body of the dino. Considering the weight he has put on it however, I am happy with how long it has lasted. Pros: - Has provided hours of entertainment for our son - Relatively durable - it withstood about 8 months of our son standing in it before the popper started to become weak - Volume control - has a switch at the back that allows you to turn it off, on soft, on loud - comes with a 6 balls which our son enjoys throwing - they are very light so I don't have to worry about him denting the walls - Popping triggered by balls hitting the trigger in the popper or by spinning the little bead thing on the front of the toy - Balls can pop out of the dino body or roll out of the dino's mouth Cons: - Sensitive trigger in the popper - great for the child, a little annoying when you are trying to clean up while baby is napping and you forget to turn the toy off first - Not my favorite music, but to be honest I'm not a fan of most sounds coming out of toys ... show more

  • Cute toy, some problems with design!
Style: Frustration Free
So I bought 2 of these for my daycare, and was so excited when they arrived. We put the first one together no problem, but had to return the 2nd one as it was impossible to put together due to a manufacturing flaw. We received the replacement on Friday, and put it together this morning. While we were finally able to get it together, it was difficult, and almost had to be returned. The toy comes in 4 parts. The base, the head, the tail and the green surround that keeps the balls from bouncing out. The green surround needs to be attached first, and it takes a good bit of hand strength to get it in place. It needs to be lined up properly so that it snaps into place properly, so be careful to examine it first to determine which "open" end goes to the tail side, and which goes to the head side. This is where you'll find the design flaw. The section that snaps into the head position was slightly off, probably about a 1/8". Due to this, it is impossible to properly fasten the green surround into place. We had some difficulty with the replacement toy, but with two of us pressing everything into place, we were finally able to get it snapped in. Since it was forced into place, it caused the green surround to bulge out slightly, but with the replacement toy it wasn't as bad as the one we returned (no pinch points) so we decided to keep it. So just a heads up, if you can't get it together, it's a design or manufacturing flaw, not you! Lol ... show more
