I bought this specifically so my kiddo can do abc mouse. That’s it. We aren’t big on electronics in this house but figured a tablet is easier than the computer. Well. This tablet isn’t the right one for the job. All it does is freeze and not work for abc mouse.... it keeps saying it’s not connected to the internet when it clearly is. I’m going to have to return. It’s just not good enough to keep up with what we needed it for. I’m sure for games and movies it would be fine, but as I said we don’t do that in this house. Excessive screen time is unnecessary.

So far I have to say I'm disappointed. I bought two of these, one for each of my kids. Since receiving them I've had to restart them multiple times a day because they randomly get stuck on this loading screen. They'll be mid-game or video and boom, random infinite load screen. Not sure what the issue is, but it's certainly frustrating. I'll edit this review whenever they fix this in a software update.

Had to restart the thing during the initial set up and 3 minutes after that! Froze up multiple times. Wouldn't load anything. Super cute tablet though! Has lots of potential. Unfortunately already have it back in the box to return within 10 minutes of opening. I'm glad I tested it out before my daughters birthday. *UPDATE* I have received my replacement, and it's 100% better. Shout out to their customer service and tech team for reaching out and making things right. Great work.

I got this for my daughter for an end of year/summer gift. Right away we had problems with getting the device setup. I spent two hours on tech support working to get it to load the apps we had added and it never worked. You have to manually click update each time per component. In my case this was 18 times. It's tedious. In the end it didn't fix anything. I had to register, de register, and reload the apps. By the time tech support was done we could only access books and all other content wasn't loading (they made it worse). Big disappointment for my kid overall. We basically opened it, tried to use it, did tech support for 2 hours, and then returned it. The device screen quality is low, and has a blurry aspect to it. The construction feels cheap. Tech support is questionable, we had our support people stop chatting and just leave twice while we working through issues. The app library is skewed towards little kids (kindergarten/ 1st grade). I couldn't even access apps advertised on the box when searching. The kids+ library is a lot of stuff thats pretty low quality. I think for a kids device its really key that its easy to use and works right out the box. Its not a fun experience to watch you parents take your new toy and sit on customer support for hours. Making this more user friendly and accessible is my number one recommendation. Most common android tablets do the basics better than the Fire HB 8 kids pro and look better doing it. I rarely write reviews, but this was such a bad experience I felt I had to try to help others from not ending up where I did. Avoid this tablet. The silver lining to this terrible experience was that the kids played outside while I tried to get it working, so this tablet is good at ensuring the kids don't spend too much time on their devices.

After only having this for 4 days, it's already rebooting randomly and getting stuck on the blue Kids screen. The only way to get out of this is holding the power button forcing it to restart. I've even done a factory reset. Amazon is sending a replacement which will take another 4 days even with a Prime membership. This is unacceptable and I'm totally disappointed and disgusted. I've had the same issue with the kids 7 and I'm waiting on that replacement also. So 2 kids are highly disappointed at their malfunctioning tablets.

My son loved the tablet until it started malfunctioning after 24 hours. It froze up and we were unable to turn it off. The battery finally died today and I was able to put it on the charger to turn it on and it's back frozen. I'm very disappointed. I ordered a replacement and I'm hoping this was just an isolated incident
