Absolutely love it. My 7 year old wanted this for his bday. The battery last so long but also he is not as active I’m sure as a younger child would be. He does however, get on it every single day for his reading activities and some screen time. He never powers it off so we charge it once every week and it lasts him into the next week.. I loved that it came with a case already on it , so that was something extra that I did not have to purchase. Was easy to set up through my Amazon and allows me to approve apps that he wants to download. I would recommend and would buy again if I ever needed to

Bought this for my 5 year old on prime day. So far it’s a great choice. I didn’t feel the need to spend hundreds of dollars on a tablet and coming with a two year warranty was a huge plus. The parental controls are awesome. Not worrying about what my son has access too is wonderful. It takes a little more time to load than more expensive tablets, I bought the pro for the slimmer case in case we take it with us places. You can still put the pro on the younger settings and it will grow with him a bit more.

Although the 2 year worry free warranty that states for 2 years, if anything happens to the tablet, you can send the broken one in and have a replacement sent for free, what it actually means is, for 30 days from the purchase date if anything happens they will send a replacement and you can send in the broken one. (In my case i had about 3 weeks left of the 30 days once it was delivered) After the 30 days, you will not automatically be sent a replacement, you will have to send the broken one in to the technicians and they will try to fix the tablet, and then send you it back. Granted this is still a very generous program because we all know kids can be rough with electronics. However, my only issue is that they advertise that it's as simple as sending the broken one while waiting for the replacement. Probably a 2-3 day turn around. After the 30 days the turn around time of sending in the broken tablet, waiting for them to figure out what is wrong and repairing or deciding it needs to be replaced can be weeks. There's no fine print explaining that automatic replacement is only for 30 days. As a matter of fact in order to consider these details prior to purchase you would have to assume the statement claiming a 2 year replacement warranty is, in fact, misleading, and navigate to either the help section, or customer service to even locate the fine print yourself. I'm just trying to help the next parent in case they were chosing this tablet because of the 2 year replacement warranty (cause we know our kids lol) so that you are aware of how it actually works. It just felt like I was tricked into believing that it worked a certain way when it absolutely doesn't. Like I said before though, it's still a good program seeing as how it's free, but it would have been nice to know that after 30 days I would have to wait a while for my broken device to be fixed and returned to me. Other than that the tablets are pretty awesome. My kids love them, especially the fact that they can video call each other from different parts of the house. The battery life is pretty decent too, my kids are on them alot, and I only have to charge them once a day or once every 2 days depending on use. The clarity of the screen is really good, and this one is much better than the smaller cheaper one. Definitely worth the extra money to get the older kid ones, however the toddler ones have a much bigger bumper to avoid breaks when dropped (or thrown lol) I had bought the 128gb SD cards for my kids tablets, and I never even needed to use them, they can easily archive old apps, or games to make more space and they've never used the whole amount of storage space. I think it works better with smaller storage space and archiving cause kids will download all sorts of stuff and never use it again lol. So all in all, despite the misleading 2 year warranty protocol, it's probably the best electronic purchase I've made for my kids. As a final note, the free 1 year subscription to the kids thing that it comes with, I can't honestly say whether it's worth it or not, so far my kids haven't utilized any of the subscriptions apps or anything. They mainly choose whatever apps they want from the store. So unless you're going to monitor and use the tablet for educational purposes, it's not really necessary. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

My only complaint for this tablet would be storage. I have to go through games a few times a week and delete them with my kids so they can download more. That's with an SD card too. But I still give it 5 stars because it works great, charges fast, the charge lasts all day, and they function as advertised.

My daughter's 2nd fire tablet! Light weight, love the handle. Suggest grabbing SD card for more space. Otherwise, great product and easy to use for my 4 and 7 year old.

We bought our daughter this tablet over the Summer of 2022. This will be here third Kindle tablet. She uses her Kindle for reading and games. The battery life is good. The parental controls help us feel safe letting her use it. The warranty is an excellent feature and gives us some comfort knowing how children can treat devices. The build quality is good and the cover is sturdy, offering good protection. The Kindle Kids edition has been a great purchase that my daughter absolutely adores.

The tab is of sturdy quality, takes some good abuse and it just functions well. The screen is not of great quality though but still the videos are great to view. For this price, frankly, no complaints. Slight weight reduction of great help for holding for longer durations.

Should've just gotten another regular fire 8 like the first one we got. The case is super lame. Smaller and doesn't feel very protective, you literally can just lift the side and it shows the edge of the tablet right there. Also, seems a little glitchy sometime and idk why but it doesn't require the pass code every time you open it?
