I bought this for my fire 7 7th generation. It fits perfectly & is exactly like the one that I bought with my kindle in 2018. But last night when I tried to use my sleep sound app I discovered that this cover doesn't have any opening for the speaker. The speaker is completely covered up so you can't hear anything even with the volume turned all of the way up. The only way I'll be able to use my sleep sound app is if I pop the kindle out of the case. Since this is pretty much the only thing I use the external speaker for it's not a big deal just disappointing. Update: I found the speaker opening, it's on the right outside edge. Since this cover is actually for the 9th generation that makes sense since that's obviously where the speaker is on the newer generion. My bad for not doing better research.

I've replaced this tablet for my kids maybe only once and that was because of water damage but they've cracked the sides, crack the screen. Anything you could imagine and it still worked. So kudos to ever made these. Great product!
