Disclaimer: vine review of an item I requested free* This is a slightly different shape on the taper than my usual brand, I think the narrow end is slightly wider. Same length though. But it made tying by feel a little different than I was used to. So far the fabric is holding up, I don't see any wear where the knot gets tied. Black I can wear with about any of my shirts, and I like the texture so it's not just a solid monolith. The stitching seems solid on the part holding the sides together on back of the wide end and on the loop where the small end tucks through: those seem to be the common fail points. ... show more

This Fineknot tie is lightweight and easy to tie. The fabric is high quality and feels good to the hand in terms of texture. In terms of size, I often take an extra long tie but this tie is generous enough that I didn't miss the extra length. The Blue and Gold pattern I chose really highlights nautical themes and was a perfect accompaniment on my most recent cruise. I was quite active on the day I wore this tie and it held up well and didn't retain wrinkles or signs it had been tied when I hung it to wear later in the trip. ... show more
