  • Decent for price
Works pretty well, I use it for my kids music room. Definitely introduces a lot of noise, but I’d expect this at the price point. I’d purchase again for this use case

  • Aux port mic pre-amp for PA
I needed a pre-amp for a handheld microphone, to boost the signal for the Aux port on my boat stereo, so I could use the onboard radio speakers as PA speakers, for my charter boat business…….whew, that’s a long sentence!!! This works like a champ. The only issue I have now, is the aux port seems to only bring in mono, or one sided audio. So I’m gonna have to wire some speakers together. BUT this worked great as a mic preamp, and can be wired to a 12volt system. I’m happy with my purchase, and will be buying one as a spare. FYI: I’m using a CB style 1/4” plug mic (so I can shield from wind, and push to talk), a 6’ long 1/4” audio cable extension (to extend the mic cord), a 3.5mm male to 1/4” male 3’ audio cable (to connect the pre amp to the aux port on my radio), and this pre amp. Maybe $70 worth of stuff, to turn your radio into a PA. Stoked!!! ... show more

  • Good product
I end up returnign this device back. It came in a day late, and it only has the bigger port, and I am using the smaller cable. I will need to spend more money to buy the adaptors.

  • Good
I've had this things for a few years now and it's quite good. The only minor caveat to it is you need to be the buy some adapters that go into the 1/4 jack and convert them to 3.5mm. It works quite well though.

  • not an amp
(disclaimer, i'm not an audiophile) pros: * performs its function * cheap * looks nice enough (imo) cons: * not an amplifier. there exists an extremely similar product (also by FIFINE) that's essentially this, but in the other direction - and that includes an amplifier. same size, same weight, same price, same rated 12v power cable. If it's not going to be an amplifier, why not be passive? then you get to be bidirectional. cons, but I imagine only for me and my non-standard use case: * I wish there was a full mute * extremely bright LED, with no power switch. ... show more

  • Possibly a couple issues to overcome, but works great after that.
I wanted to use a basic mixer to have PC sounds and game console sounds (passed in through 3.5mm) come into my headset together. The fact that this mixer uses 6.35mm plugs meant that I had to buy those adapters, but they were cheap so that wasn't a big deal. As many have mentioned, there's some scuffy sounds when adjusting the volume dials, but when they're still, there's no issues with that. The main 2 issues I had and how I overcame them were: Plugging my headset into the mixer directly, due to the mixer's potential high volume output, meant that there was a bit of white noise constantly into my headset (even when there were no sources plugged in). This would be alleviated I think if the mixer had a master "volume out" knob as well, to lower the output volume to where the noise was inaudible. This type of noise happens when a lot of sound sources are blasted up to extremely high volumes, which is essentially what was happening since there was no way to lower the output volume. What I did to alleviate this was just plug my headset into a volume-adjustable 3.5mm extension cable instead and lowered that, which eliminated the white noise while keeping actual sound sources plenty loud (accomplishing the same thing as a master volume knob). This cable was pretty cheap (I had one off amazon from before), so that is easy to get around. The other is that, my first mixer that came in had quite a bit of actual static, as in it was defective. It was pretty easy to contact FIFINE though. As they mentioned through another review, you can message them through Amazon through the "Ask a question" button, but I emailed them at the web(at)fifine(dot)cc email listed in the manual. They sent me a new one right away, and didn't even ask me to return the old one even though I offered to, so despite the defect, the service was great, and the new one works great. So a few issues (namely scuffiness when turning dials, no master volume out to remove noise, 6.35mm instead of 3.5mm) but it's cheap and once you get passed the issues, it works great. Some reviews were asking about if it's supports stereo and it does, you just have to make sure you get 3-section/TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) adapters instead of 2-section/TS adapters. I found a pack of 3 on here for $7 (I only needed 3), or a 5 pack (which would give full functionality) for $9. Between those and the volume-adjusting 3.5mm extender that I needed (which I already had), which I think was around $5, and a couple male-male 3.5mm cables (pc to mixer, console to mixer), a whole setup like this is probably around $40, which is still plenty cheap for the entire setup. Would recommend if you're looking for something similar. ... show more

  • Great features Drum, loop
Great features like drums and loops awesome. But need work with effects. It’s a lot of different effects but not an easy to adjusting volume. Otherwise very good entry multi- effect pedal
