I needed a mat to help protect the carpet in the cargo area of my 2016 Ford Escape, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. This mat did the trick at a reasonable price. It was easy to trim after I took measurements. Note that it is not quite as long (from front to back) as the Escape cargo area, but being an inch or so short hasn't presented any problems so far, and we've just gone through 24 inches+ of snow. It also helps deal with objects sliding. My toolbox stays where I put it. Overall, a great addition to the cargo area!

Fits my 2021 jeep compass limited great! This was very large and plenty of ‘extra to trim down. I like that’s there’s lots of options as far as grooves to follow to help your mat look nice. The material is thin BUT I believe this will hold up with wear and tear from dogs, kids, groceries etc. Seems very durable. I bought on sale for under $15 and I would do it again! No smell to mine.

Very good product - easy to trim, size was perfect for my needs. Would be 5 stars except has a very strong chemical/rubber smell upon opening. I left it outside for about a week before I put it in my car (and you could still smell it). Perhaps if you wash it first, the smell would dissipate sooner?

This is a great mat, but be careful when ordering the size, this particular size is not suitable for sedans. There is the same mat in a different size specifically for sedans. Choose the right size rug. The product photos contain specific dimensions. Good luck!

I bought this for my new 2024 Hyundai Sonata. It does fit in the trunk. It did not even require trimming. However, I can't take the strong rubber/vinyl smell. I left it outside on my deck for 3 days, 2 of those rainy. Flipped it over after 2 days. Put it in the garage one evening before planning to put it in the trunk the next day. The next morning my entire garage stank from it. Back outside for another day then into the trunk. It has been a month and a half and the smell is not going away. Thankfully, the smell seems to stay in the trunk and does not leak into the car, but I can't take it anymore. I wish that I had returned it while the return window was still open, but I am getting rid of it anyway. The last straw was yesterday when I went to the grocery store, took my reusable bags out of the trunk and the smell is stuck on the bags. I could still smell it while I was packing up the bags at checkout. Too much. And I am NOT a person that is super sensitive to smells.

The one star rating is caused by two factors. One factor is that it doesn’t fit my SUV, although it says it does, which forced me to buy two for coverage (at this price, why not?). HOWEVER, the much more important factor is the smell. The reviewers who said it had a bad smell aren’t being truthful. The truth is, this smell goes FAR beyond “bad”, it’s TOXIC. When I got the first one, I unraveled it, saw it didn’t fit, and put it aside while I ordered the other one, which came the next day. As I was going into the garage to install both, I noticed a STRONG gasoline odor, so strong my first thought was that my gas tank had been punctured. I was afraid to start my car because of the fumes, it smelled like my car was sitting in a puddle of gasoline! After looking around, I realized that my car was intact, so maybe the odor was coming from my wife’s car, but when I walked over to her car, the smell became weaker…and then I realized…the culprit was the mats! I took them outside, and there was no more odor near my trunk. I left them outside overnight, and a full day, then overnight again. I figured they had to be aired out by then, so I put them in the car. I have a very unique circumstance in that, I fold one of my rear seats flat so that I can carry my golf bag in my trunk. The problem with that was, now that gasoline odor was inside the cab with me! The first day, 5 in the morning, I had to drive with my windows down! I got home, and the smell wasn’t as strong, so I left the mats in with the windows down. The upside is that the smell is gradually dissipating, but who knows what toxic fumes can do to one’s body when inhaled in a tight space like a car, even through the trunk? I don’t usually tell anybody to stay away from a product. As a matter of fact, in my numerous reviews on Amazon and other sites, I just tell people what I like and don’t like, and never suggest what a person should do with their money - but this one time I’m making an exception to say - STAY AWAY from this one, unless gasoline fumes aren’t a problem for you.

Purchased for our 2019 Buick Enclave cargo area. I wanted a lightweight rubber-like mat because the main hidden storage area is accessed by lifting a panel. If the covering mat is heavy it takes extra effort to remove that mat to access the storage. The low cost and easy cutting to size were additional benefits.
