I used this on a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek and it fits perfectly as you can see on the above pictures! I'm writing this review because I almost didn't buy this kit (even though every parts store has it through their car-specific search filters) because of the video review someone else made. You can safely ignore that review, as it looks like that person tried to install it upside down. Mine fit like a glove. Vs50830r fits 2.0 and 2.5L subaru (non turbo). I was hesitant to purchase after seeing someone else's review video, but after installing the gasket, and rewatching his review, I can now see that he indeed had the correct gasket, he just had it upside down and backwards... The gasket needs to be pushed into place to take form (it's rubber). Take note of the orientation of the old gasket before you pull it out. There are a few "tabs" (indicators) that point to a specific direction that can be used to orient the gasket. And it's really not that difficult of a job. If you can change the spark plugs on this engine, you can change the valve cover gasket. Just be careful and pay attention. The valve cover needs to be tightened in a specific pattern. ... show more
