When I got the box I was a bit skeptical, because the inner cushions were rolled and vacuum packed. It took more than a day for them to form fully, and they're still a bit rounded in the middle. The foam is firm and comfortable, but what I'm most impressed with is how sturdy the fabric feels. It feels pretty water-resistant as well, and the cushion inside the cover is also covered in a zippered plastic cover (be sure to not cut this open when removing the outer black wrapper!) which adds another layer of protection for the foam. Remember when measuring that the measurement is for the SEAT cushion, the second cushion in the pack is for the back of the chair, which will be slightly shorter. The cover is well made and well stitched, and I like how the stitching makes a little pocket for the end of the zipper, so the zipper pull isn't exposed. I am very pleased with the color. I ordered "spice", which to me is almost a paprika color.

First- these cushions are very comfortable. Sitting, I sink in a bit, but don't bottom out. I really like that there are no buttons, no bumpy-ness or feeling perched on top of the cushion. Second - they really are waterproof. I ran the faucet sprayer over one cushion as a test and the water just ran off or beaded up. So I left it out in the rain on the chair a couple of hours. It didn't even look wet, although wiping it did raise some tiny droplets. You wouldn't get soaked sitting on it unawares, let alone have to dry out a sodden cushion. Third - the workmanship and materials are top notch. I like the handle too. Finally - nice colors to choose from. At last, I've found the cushions I've always wanted! Be sure to watch the video of unpacking them. It's surprising and fun. Mine took overnight to totally loose the fold "bump".

I actually ordered these for an Adirondack chair rather than a conventional patio chair, and I'm glad I did. One cushion is a bit smaller than the other, and that's the one I sit on. The larger cushion I am using for the tall back of the Adirondack chair. It's amazing how much more comfortable my chair has become since I started using these cushions. The materials and construction of these chair cushions are first rate. It's not hard to get the foam cushions into the covers, and the zippers are extra sturdy and are very easy to fully close. All in all, I was genuinely impressed by the strength and sturdiness of these cushions. They seem like they would really hold up for a long, long time in sunshine and severe weather.
