With a 9 inch inseam it falls right above his knees. The material is so beautiful, washes super well, I hang dry. The inside lining is very soft, making it super easy to wear. These feel so good. You can swim, hike, be active and you're not getting chaffed by a mesh liner. The soft liner also appropriately covers things up, so you're not going to expose yourself up the short pant leg. These are soft, fit great, and they look sharp.
