This product has contradictions in the description so here is what you need to know. I was looking at the black and navy blue trunks, and under Top Highlights it says "Fit Type: Relaxed". But under "About This Item" it says "Fair Harbor swim trunks come in a tailored fit". These are two opposite things, relaxed fit vs. tailored fit. Which one is it? In addition, the size chart says you need a different size than you normally wear - I normally wear medium swim trunks but their size chart was suggesting large or extra large. The only way to find out the correct sizing is to buy the trunks, so that is what I did - one medium and one large. I can report that the trunks are in fact a tailored fit. Nice and slim, not big and baggy. As far as the size chart, the large trunks fit me better than the medium, so I will be returning the medium even though that is what I normally wear. Both pairs of trunks really did have a 5 inch inseam. The medium trunks had a 23 inch leg opening and the large trunks had a 24 inch opening. This is good for 5" trunks where the opening is at my thigh. For longer trunks that reach lower on my leg where the leg is skinnier I like a smaller leg opening otherwise the trunks appear big and baggy. The company should really clean up the descriptions of this item, for different sizes and colors it says different things for Fit Type, or it says nothing at all. This is my review of fit and sizing. I haven't actually swam in these yet but they seem to be a nice pair of swim trunks and the zippered back pocket is key for my needs so that my waterproof wallet doesn't float out of my pocket when I am snorkeling. ... show more

Size: Large Color: Black
Good fit. Very comfortable. However, the liner takes ages to dry unless you can leave the swimsuit outside overnight/the rest of the day. Inside, it took three full days to dry. This is a miss. Another option: build a time machine so that after each use you can travel back to before you swam. Then bring the dry swimsuit back to the present. Even if you are unsuccessful with your time machine build, the liner will certainly be dry by the time you realize your failure. Good luck. ... show more

My husband dislikes mesh in his bathing suits. He has one of these suits and loves it. I just bought a second. Tried to buy one that was cheaper but he does not like it as much as this manufacturer. He said it is soft and comfortable. Does not rub. Great fit.

My husband is 6 foot seven and it’s hard to find swim trunks that don’t look either way too small or like parachute shorts. The style of these are perfect! With a 9 inch inseam it falls right above his knees. The material is so beautiful, washes super well, I hang dry. The inside lining is very soft, making it super easy to wear. The color looks exactly like the picture, almost a pale blue. For the price, I wish they had 10 more colors. I’d buy them all! They ran true to size, comparable to other brands. ... show more
