I need a few square inches of this for a commissioned project -- an engagement ring box. It needed to be a deep purple, and this plum color was right. The felt was easy to work with, with the right level of bith stiffness and draping. The first time I glued the felt I used CA glue, which left white discoloration on the felt after a few days. I did not like the discoloration, and remade it with the felt glued with fabric glue, which worked well. I do not consider this to be a defect in the felt, but instead it was a problem with my technique. Not the felt's fault. I selected this partly because it was speced as being thicker than some alternatives. I didn't measure it. I would have liked a little more compressibility, and used two layers where I wanted some additional padding. ... show more
