I typically buy overly long board shorts, but they end up making me look frumpy and overweight. These shorts are fantastic. I love how light they feel, how easily I can move in them, how the shape and length flatters my chunky body, and the zipper keeps items from falling out of my pocket. The only drawback is that while I feel comfortable wearing them as swim trunks, I feel uncomfortable wearing them out in public as shorts. It might just be a personal thing, but they feel more like swim trunks than shorts, so if I wanted to wear them as shorts, I wish the material were a little thicker, the waistband wasn't gathered like a swimsuit, and that the drawstring didn't look so much like a swimsuit drawstring. I'd say 4 stars as swim trunks, 2 stars as shorts. ... show more

    • Disappointed to say the least
For such pricey shorts, I was really expecting near perfection. The fit is on par, no issues with the sizing and they are super comfortable with pretty great feeling material. Where they really fail is the pockets. They are very difficult to open, impossible when using one hand, you cannot close them without stretching the material, and they get stuck around the fabric stitch line across the back EVERY time. It really sucks because like I said, every other aspect is fantastic, the look, the feel, and comfort, even their ability to dry quickly and be worn for both swimming and workouts. I really would love for Fabletics to fix this issue with the pockets, because I highly doubt this is a unique issue, since both pair I ordered have the same problem. ... show more
