This black dress was perfect for my event. It looked classy without being uncomfortable. MATERIAL: The material wasn't thin or see through, had decent body to it. I will say the only thing that took away from the appeal was the slightly ribbed fabric, cheapens it a touch but acceptable for my event, I wouldn't wear the texture to a black tie formal event. FIT: I am 5'4 130lbs, semi-athletic build and a small was perfect. It came just over my knees and was fitted all the way down (not tubular and flared at the bottom like some weird dresses). When I first put it on it felt a little snug but the stretch was amazing and I stretched pulled on it a bit for more room in the hips/butt. The off the shoulder area was a little formfitting across my chest, and I do not have an exceptionally large chest (not draped across). The bodice fell nicely on my waist, and it was a classy length. I wore a strapless bra with one clear strap on the shoulder side of the dress. Overall, I would recommend this dress and may buy it in other colors! ... show more

I’m 5’3 and 146 and I ordered the medium (8-10) and it fit well. The top is a little baggy and loose but you don’t have to wear it off one shoulder. The bottom portion becomes skin tight and came down to my mid skin. You do need to find a no show undergarment otherwise you see every line. The dress does look elegant and can be dressed it up. Soft material, can wear it on the shoulder with little exposure or one shoulder as pictured on the model. Very flattering material and fit, not too clingly but not too loose, perfect for a date night, bridal/baby shower, or party. Can definetly dress it up or keep it casual.
