Good quality canvas. HOWEVER. The glass is NOT TEMPERED and will shatter if not carefull. If you wish to use this mask for strenuous work replace the glass with plexiglass.

The lens fell out of the last one I bought (different brand) about the time I got the sand blaster hooked up. I kept my fingers crossed on this one and it paid off. While no hood is comfortable, this one is well made, fits snugly and has a heavy duty lens that has given no problem. You won't have to cross your fingers on this one. ... show more

For what it cost, you can't go wrong. The biggest problem is it fogs up. I had to bite on the breather to make it maybe 3-4 minutes of blasting, then wipe it clean. If you had a fresh air system it would be fine. But I think this would be an issue with any hood. But it does keep the sand out of you face, hair, clothes. Overall worth the money ... show more

Hood is great quality and “sand blasting grit” tight. I added an air hose and use my oil-less compressor at 25 psi approx 2.5 cfm; hood stays cool and fog free. Only problem is my head pushes against the inside top and can block some of the cool air flow.

The product seemed fine I tried it on but didn’t really use it. It does have very sharp edges on the glass though be very careful, I put electrical tape around the edges of the glass and bought a small sheet of plexiglass to cut and make several other pieces to put in front of the glass.
