i needed good tweezers. Who doesn’t? Based on all the reviews on ALL the sets I checked out, it seemed like a game of chance. You either got a set that contained tweezers that ‘met’ at the tips, or you didn’t. This seems pretty basic, the tip-meeting. If the tips don’t meet they can’t grab, and therefore are not tweezers. In fact, no name has been invented for what those things are. So, with a mixture of trepidation and glee, I opened the package and held my breath. OMG! The pointy one meets. Holy crap, the...the...the angled one does too! In fact, ALL of them meet! Stunned and somewhat dizzy, I did a happy dance around my living room , and this was before coffee. Then I settled down. I have to review this item, and I haven’t yet looked past the meeting of the tips. I took another deep breath (still I don’t have coffee) and looked the item over properly. The leather case is nice and each tweezer has a little protective condom for safety. The scissors are light and a little stiff. I won’t expect too much out of them but I didn’t buy this set for the scissors. For the money, this set can’t be beat. Take the plunge and may all your tweezer tips meet!

I have some mysterious little plants around my garden, probably planted by birds. They're all pretty but some have the nastiest, tiny thorns that can easily penetrate my gloves. You can't see them in your fingers but you can sure feel them with the lightest touch. All of the tweezers in this set are great but the skinny ones will pull out the smallest thorn with just a little help from my magnifying light. I bought an extra set to give as a gift.
