Five wash and dry cycles and still copious amounts of lint. But the towels, after 5 washes, feel better, absorb more, and look better, with a more defined diamond pattern. Love the size, the weight, the absorption, the quick drying time. Get these, but just be prepared to wash several times before you can really see what you have. First use after one wash, and they didn't absorb well. Other reviewers said the towels left them feeling still damp. My guess is that a few more washes will solve this. Ordered two sets of two bath sheets and the color is uniform, but also ordered a set of hand towels and the color is off enough that they don't really match. ... show more

These are so plush, soft and Absorbent... they like suck the water off your body! They make me feel pampered, truly spa like quality. You need to wash atleast once before using or you will have fuzz all over you. Twice is best! But who cares, after that, they will be your favorite. I ordered 2 just to try; I will be ordering more. If you're like me, you hate the feel of microfiber sports/camping towels. So I had high hopes for these towels, given the cotton loops and microfiber core. And let me tell you, these things are FLUFFY. Great pile, very soft. So far so good, which is why I gave four stars. But ultimately, they still have that microfiber feel against the skin. Not as bad as pure microfiber, but still enough for me not to want to use these towels :( But if you can handle it, these towels are great and incredibly fast drying. ... show more

I have never in my life spent this much money for a towel but they were worth every penny. They are a generous size without being overwhelming and they are so soft and absorbent. The colors are very pretty though I do wish there were even more colors to choose from. This was my second order and I’ve used the first ones for several months. Finally a towel that is soft. I've bought many sets of towels throughout the past few years. None of them hold up very long. These towels are the best I've found so far. Going on 2 years with my previous set I bought from the same company and they still look and feel brand new.

    • Great towels, with a few caveats

These towels are really nice - for the most part. They are very soft feeling, and although they are not extremely thick and plush, they are plenty plush enough to feel nice on even VERY sensitive skin. They are a crisp white. The diamond pattern is nice, but subtle enough not to look or feel weird. The towels absorb really well and quickly, and they dry very quickly even in the very humid south. The cons, though - they shed A LOT in the wash, even after several washes. That means sometimes they are going to leave some fuzz on your skin as you dry. That sucks. Also, they seem somewhat flimsy because of that - I worry that with all that shedding, they will end up needing to be replaced within a couple years. My previous, less quick-drying, less soft basic-b cotton towels lasted almost 20 years before even looking slightly worn. It's hard to want to spend money on towels every couple years after that. But, we'll see how they do over time. So far I'm happy enough with them, and hopefully they will prove me wrong in the longevity department. ... show more

These will dry more quickly than a traditional towel - even in humid environments. As others have noted, first wash and dry, be sure you empty the lint filter.
